I for one am glad that the UFC is going back to original weigh ins format.

Because back when it used to be like this the weigh ins felt more special. There was no "ceremonial" weigh in bullshit. You didn't know the results yet, so there was tension. There was excitement looking to see the fighters reaction. Whatsmore in that dehydrated state the fighters would have to do the staredown there and then. And you could see the raw emotion.

These early weigh ins were boring because, all the fighters come in at random times. You got Ariel commentating like they are playing golf or something. Nobody really cared. Then when it came up to the ceremonial weigh ins everybody already knows the result and still nobody cares.

Atleast this way we are getting a real time weigh ins with the stare down. We get to see the fighters at their meanest.

The UFC was more fun when it was this way. So I am happy to go back.

In terms of health and safety for the fighters. Who gives a fook. This is entertainment. If fighters wanna be safe they should just all move up a class and not cut weight. I like the whole weight cutting thing. It's a fine line and balance between getting an advantage of extra size and power at the cost of some possible endurance. I like watching this balancing act. Adds another element to the fights.

Bottom line early weigh ins boring as fuck in my opinion. The later weigh ins are way more exciting. And it's not too much difference in the end if you think about it. Fighters still get slightly more than 24 hours to recover.

And we get to see the fighters in order and have a proper staredown when they are all pissed off and mean.

Whatever gets the fatties to make weight. I like seeing a little death in the fighters. Shock value

I liked seeing fighters with 6 or 7 hours of heavy hydration at the ceremonial weigh ins, now we're back to ghosts on stage. But I've had it with people missing weight so if going back to the old way helps, ok.

I like it for the event in itself factor but they gotta bring back the IV
