I feel like Knockout artists have shorter reigns on top

Alex pereira and Ilia topuria says hi..

And i wont bother looking back in time, but they where always there. Silva, liddell, mcgregor, crocop ect

KO artists tend to have a shorter but more spectacular time at the top.
There are exceptions to every rule obviously

Asking if Anderson was a KO artist is hilarious though
Yeah fine I was wrong

I don’t root for long rangy fighters.. I respect Silva and Jones are 2 of the GOATS but i have a busy schedule.. just haven’t found the time for em

Fedor
Francis
Wanderlei
Shogun
Dan Henderson
Rampage

Goddamn this thread is stupid
TS thinks Anderson Silva was not a knockout artist when thats basically the way he won 90% of his fights lol, he has a few submissions and decisions but not many.

Deary deary me 😹

The beauty of the internet is that the fights are typically at your fingertips.

Everyone who is a serious MMA fan has the opportunity to educate themselves on the fights of all those guys who are on the GOAT lists and those who are simply held in high regard, especially from previous eras.

I don’t consider myself a serious MMA fan.

I watch a lot of fights but it’s all through the lens of a short man complex

I’ve seen more Kelvin Gastelum fights then Anderson Silva

Let’s break it down

Who are the goats in MMA

Jon Jones. Not known for his power

GSP not known for his power

Fedor.. powerful.. seen him spark dudes out.. but he did everything well. That’s only one part of his game
Islam
Khabib
DJ
Volk
Etc

Pereira is a big exception
Was Silva a knockout artist?
Aldo?

How about boxing?

Beterbiev.. I mean he’s maybe the best example of a pure knockout artist who’s one of the goats. He lost to Bivol but the guy was 40

GGG.. not quite a great. Robbery or not.. his resume is thin

Tyson… Lost to Holyfield who wasn’t known for his power

Foreman lost to Ali

Hagler.. the goat of MW.. all around fighter.. known for his chin more then power

Pacquiao lost to Mayweather

Duran lost to a bunch of guys

Crawford — fits the profile I suppose. He’s basically perfect in every aspect though
Bro just started watching mma like a few months ago.

Some of the boxers you listed are absolute legends of the sports ( def ended up on top ) so to have guys like Pac man Tyson and Duran on this strange list is just insane ..
