Let’s break it down

Who are the goats in MMA

Jon Jones. Not known for his power

GSP not known for his power

Fedor.. powerful.. seen him spark dudes out.. but he did everything well. That’s only one part of his game
Islam
Khabib
DJ
Volk
Etc

Pereira is a big exception
Was Silva a knockout artist?
Aldo?

How about boxing?

Beterbiev.. I mean he’s maybe the best example of a pure knockout artist who’s one of the goats. He lost to Bivol but the guy was 40

GGG.. not quite a great. Robbery or not.. his resume is thin

Tyson… Lost to Holyfield who wasn’t known for his power

Foreman lost to Ali

Hagler.. the goat of MW.. all around fighter.. known for his chin more then power

Pacquiao lost to Mayweather

Duran lost to a bunch of guys

Crawford — fits the profile I suppose. He’s basically perfect in every aspect though

KO artists have made it to the top, I don't know why this was thought up.

Anderson Silva
Chuck Liddell
Andrei Arlovski
Anthony Pettis

etc.

One of the dudes on the Mt Rushmore of MMA, Anderson Silva, was probably the greatest knockout artist in MMA history. Argument completely invalid

Was Anderson Silva a knockout artist?

Is this a real question?

these forums are like a piece of paper, but online. Any shit you wanna write will be posted, including questions such as this one.

TS, please go and watch AS fights. If you dont have the time, just watch some highlights. I bet you gonna answer your own question.

Maybe he's confusing one punch ko fighters with fighters who win via ko?
With the obvious exceptions of khabib and Mayweather all the greats took losses

I think perhaps TS is mostly asking with respect to a fighter's hands, which I suppose might prompt him to question Silva, who might have more examples of knee and elbow and whatnot KOs than ones with his hands.

If none of this is the case, idk why he's asking that question. I was just trying to help him out

Not a KO artist, but Jake Shields liked to end on the bottom, allegedly.

Fedor
Francis
Wanderlei
Shogun
Dan Henderson
Rampage

Goddamn this thread is stupid

KO artists tend to have a shorter but more spectacular time at the top.
There are exceptions to every rule obviously

Asking if Anderson was a KO artist is hilarious though

Boxing is mostly high level power punchers. Forman lost to Ali and thats it in his prime. Ali has a bunch of kos pre ban and Frazier just koed guys. Mma is less because grappling is half the sport but in boxing power is way more a predictor then being a good boxer especially higher weights. Usyk has average hw power but joshua fury klitschko and wilder are the best hw the last 20 years all have above average power. Fury is the least but he is huge and has good power
