This "fight" is going to happen. Not that I really want it to, but Max is out and Pettis is ready. It's not really going to be much of a fight in my opinion. Pettis has had problems with wrestlers all though out his career and even struggled against Dustin on the ground. That's not a dis on Dustin, I love the guy, but he is nowhere close to Khabib. Pettis has a chance on the ground because he has good BJJ off his back (see Pettis vs Henderson 2) but idk if it's good enough to catch Khabib. I just don't see this going well for him at all. If there is something that Im missing let me know.

The guy is ranked 12 and getting a shot at the title. Why feel bad?

He does have explosive subs but I doubt Khabib is submittable.

If anything we will see if Khabib chooses to stand for too long, that could be his downfall if he eats a kick upstairs.

Nonetheless. Not a great chance

This is such a dumb fight. And they are putting Pettis in danger by forcing him to cut weight so quickly.
They should have had Ortega on side preparing to step in for Holloway, knowing that Holloway was well above the weight limit.

Anthony will more than likely be hospitalised, yes.

He was light years away from getting another title shot at 155. Now he is in the position to jump the line.

He must be excited about this.

Nah, he's in no danger. He weighed in at 155.2 on the first attempt.

Khabib submitted Leo Vieira in sparring, i doubt that Pettis can do anything against him on the ground.

He gets a fight as his fight fell apart, no pressure as it's one day notice and everything to gain nothing to lose. The UFC will definitely give him another fight for stepping up and helping out. Smart move IMO. At the end of the day he is a prizefighter and wants to be paid for fighting.

Why would Pettis... who ALWAYS struggles with wrestlers ... take a fight vs the strongest LW wrestler of all time?

That's like Superman asking to fight a Kryptonite meteor.

The outcome is way too predictable.

Why do you feel bad? Pettis hasn't really won anything for years and gets a title shot at LW.

Weird, to commission just packed up the scale like there will not be a second weigh in attempt.

He got nothing to lose and everything to gain. WEC champ never forget

He has a better shot at winning than an injured and drained Holloway would.

He’s still gonna get beat up but at least he had a full camp.

Watch Pettis catch Khabib in a guillotine of something lol. With the way this card has panned out nothing will surprise me anymore.
