Again, I've enjoyed all of Conor's fights to date, win or lose. Even the haters have too, although maybe they won't come out and admit that, but they do.
Conor seems like his head isn't in the game anymore, his raw talent and dedication to MMA brought him very far. Along the way he lost himself and went the way of the devil when he got the money and the fame. I don't blame him, it happens to the best of em. He hasn't been too active in the last half of his UFC career and he thinks that since he beat Poirier 8 years ago that surely he can do it again now. Look at both of their career paths since their first fight and you'll see that Poirier has fought the whose who at FW and LW and has stayed active.
Poirier has proven and shown that he has the heart and can overcome adversity, McGregor hasn't and it isn't something he can train. As soon as he faces opposotion and resistance he wilters like a flower in the winter.
Poirier kicked his legs off, so what? Gaethje did the same to Poirier and Poirier dug deep and put his lights out. McGregor can check all the kicks he wants in the trilogy and it won't change much.
Poirier is coming out to prove a point and I'd bet my entire farm and the pigs on Dustin by brutal victory. Poirier has it all, McGregor doesn't have anything other than a left hand.
Close up shop. It's a wrap.
