I don't want to be the bear of bad news ahead of 264 but all signs point to Poirier via submission

Conor like Ronda is highly skilled in one area of MMA but is not a complete enough fighter to continue to compete after the holes in his fight game have been exposed and his best skill is in getting in the heads of his competition and that is done. Dustin should have won the first fight but he let Conor get in his head. If Conor checks the kicks he loses striking power and position. Dustin by sub in round 1 or 2.

Yeah I see a nate 1 repeat. Gets rocked, shoots for a bad takedown, gives up his neck, claims its not a real loss, Nate trilogy.

Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if Conor bodies Dustin in the first minute. I also wouldn't be shocked if Dustin takes Conor down and chokes him out in the first. I'm super excited for this fight.....

Anything could happen in this fight, especially earlier. With that said, I’m wholeheartedly rooting for Poirier.

WAR DUSTIN!!!!

Now this is the Bear of Bad News!

"Even the haters have too, although maybe they won't come out and admit that, but they do"
If by "enjoyed" you mean people like watching people they hate get beaten up, then of course, you're correct.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you sound like some kind of Bad News Bear. But, yeah, Poirer is the favorite to win for a reason.

Again, I've enjoyed all of Conor's fights to date, win or lose. Even the haters have too, although maybe they won't come out and admit that, but they do.

Conor seems like his head isn't in the game anymore, his raw talent and dedication to MMA brought him very far. Along the way he lost himself and went the way of the devil when he got the money and the fame. I don't blame him, it happens to the best of em. He hasn't been too active in the last half of his UFC career and he thinks that since he beat Poirier 8 years ago that surely he can do it again now. Look at both of their career paths since their first fight and you'll see that Poirier has fought the whose who at FW and LW and has stayed active.

Poirier has proven and shown that he has the heart and can overcome adversity, McGregor hasn't and it isn't something he can train. As soon as he faces opposotion and resistance he wilters like a flower in the winter.

Poirier kicked his legs off, so what? Gaethje did the same to Poirier and Poirier dug deep and put his lights out. McGregor can check all the kicks he wants in the trilogy and it won't change much.

Poirier is coming out to prove a point and I'd bet my entire farm and the pigs on Dustin by brutal victory. Poirier has it all, McGregor doesn't have anything other than a left hand.

Close up shop. It's a wrap.

The 'bear of bad news' thing really brought the laughs & memes. :)
As for your post, we'll see. I picked Poirier. But one never knows what might happen until the actual fight. Enjoy it!
