Leon will get smothered, Shavkat has the chin and is also light on his feet enough to at the very least get inside to apply the pressure. People underestimate how good Geoff Neal is when he can get in range and in rhythm so it made Shavkat not look as good.

The simple fact is that Shavkat is good enough everywhere to hang with whatever Edwards throws at him until he finds a hole to exploit and then takeover from there.

Haha, I lived in Lake Charles for a long time. 2 UFC's I went to in the early days were at the Lake Charles civic center. Saw multiple hair bands there too. I know Lake Charles all too well. That's cool by the way, Poirier seems down to earth. What town are you in?

Honestly, I wasn't impressed with Leon's takedown defense at all. Not sure how his fight with Kazach will go, but I don't see Edwards as a big favorite, he can be beat.

I don't necessarily think Shavkat needs to take it to the ground to win. His striking is dynamic, he's fast, and hits hard. Leon might have an edge in technique, but I don't think it would be a wash if the fight was mostly a stand up battle.

Leon is patient, methodical, and looks like a perfectionist at times. I would expect Shavkat to hit harder and move better than Colby as well as pressure constantly. I’d have no problem betting on Shavkat. He’s finished every pro fight he’s been in and even finished Thompson with a bum ankle apparently.

I don't know if people saw Shavkat's fight with Geoff Neal. But Geoff was destroying him till the third round when he gassed out and got submitted.

Leon Edwards is like a better version of Geoff. Crisper striking and better takedown defense. And has shown he can go all 5 rounds.

If Leon can survive the early submission attempts he peices up Shavkat imo.

What do you mean Neal was destroying Shavkhat on feet? MMA Stats show Shavkhat had 113 significant strikes to Neal 69. He didn’t destroy him on the feet. Thats straight up bull shit. Did Neal crack Shavkhat a few times in the head? Yeah he did. And he ate them and kept going. Btw Neal has more power in his hands than Leon that is certainly a fact. It would be a good fight. I would take Shavkhat I think his all around ways to win are better.

Edwards distance management is way too good and Rakhmanovs wrestling isn't the type of rasslin where he just needs to grab a hold of you and your doomed

Plus Edwards striking is miles ahead of Rakkie not to mention how patient he is. He'll win a borefest on the outside if he feels like it (and that's fine)
