I don't think leg extensions messed Cain's knee up

Tom platz used to do leg extensions with awful form and he had the best legs in bodybuilding history. He never hand any knee problems, and to this day, at the age of 60, he still squats 315 for 15 reps without roids.

it starts at 4:30

because one man can do it, does not mean every man can do it. AKA has an injury history, and there's certainly a reason for that. Is it something as simple as going nuts with leg extensions? Probably not, but you'd still expect a camp as noteworthy as AKA to make a few adjustments and implement a little caution when the injuries start popping up with such frequency.

Im pretty sure that no one thinks that that one set in the video ruined his knees. But training like that over time, and possibly not enhanced, would likely lead to destroyed connective tissue.

Is this a troll attempt or are people really this dumb.

We only saw what was filmed. And it didn't look good.

Imagine how much terrible shit Cain used to do (possibly still does) that doesn't get filmed and put online.

If he's still training with that meathead with the kettlebells, I think we will see Hunt vs Browne at 200.

To be honest I think Cain is just injury prone, rather then the methods of training. Remember he has had knee surgery, shoulder surgery and back surgery.. all within last 5 years. he has had many different types of injuries, in different parts of the body. I actually wish Cain would just have a really short camp like Nate or Bisping, no longer than 2 weeks. because any longer and we have seen so so so so many times what happens.. he always pulls out.

AKA = All Knees Annihilated

Their gym has a proven track record of turning patellas into

Theres a huge difference between bodybuilding and mma training.

No body builder has to move like a mma fighter.

If they did there ligaments would snap like a old rubberband.

Dont they go 100% a couple of times per week in sparring? That shit will ruin anyone... specially against a wrestling based partner like DC.

Tom Platz is a bodybuilder and a throwback to a different era. Everyone performed leg extensions in his day and a lot of bodybuilders likely still do, though I'm not in the know about it. I don't know if I'd equate a professional bodybuilder to a fighter in terms of how they use their knees in their respective competition. The way leg extensions overload your knee is not something you can reproduce under natural movement. That type of force can be really detrimental to the joint, patellar tendon, etc. Not saying it will, but the weight and speed of Cain's sets made my knees hurt watching.
