I dont get why people calling the D.C. vs Lesnar feud fake

Um, cause DC and Brock are friends, go way back, have dined together and so forth.

They are going to work this bit on both sides with matches, just wait.

UFC bout/WWE bout, I'm expecting DC to storm one of Brock's matches any day now...

UFC will take care of itself, but "fans" like you are cancer. The less fans like you MMA will have, the better quality product will be for real fans, who know the difference between real and fake fight, real and fake tension - overall, know the difference between real and fake.

So please, go. You don't need to follow MMA and MMA surely does not need you.

You're making the mistake of thinking the angle is directed at us. It isn't. Us the marks are watching the fight for the result regardless of if there's a sell or not. They know we know enough to know it's fabricated. But it's good for random video packages that they can throw all over FB to casuals who will recognize who Lesnar is without knowing much of anything about MMA's inner workings. When a card does a million buys it isn't because 1 million hardcore marks of the sport are tuning in.

If you watch the video, you actually see Cormier start smiling during the Brock showdown. It was clearly fake. Cormier just doesn't have the training that Brock does.
 
I dont know why anyone would be excited for this. This is not a dominant legend like BJ or GSP coming back. This is a mediocre HW who's last good performance was nearly a decade ago who will almost certainly have nothing for DC (or anyone in the top 5 tbh)
 
I'd watch the fight regardless but I guess they want the WWE fans tuning in.

Pretty sure DC said they've known each other since the late 90's, and he was really friendly with him at UFC 200.

The actual feud is a ploy to sell more, even though I don't think they need to have bad blood to sell that fight. Lesnar brings numbers regardless of bad blood or opponent.
 
Before I say this, I want to ensure you know that I do NOT believe Lesnar deserves a title shot whatsoever.

BUT... I think you're kinda underselling Brock a bit. The HW division is not deep at all. Lesnar has very credible wrestling skills, has improved his jiu-jitsu (apparently), and survived punches from the likes of Mark Hunt and Shane Carwin. The biggest thing Brock has going for him is sheer size. The reason I say the size is a huge advantage for him is because at some point, skills can only get you so far. That's why Mighty Mouse could never win a fight against guys like Lesnar lol It just doesn't work. Of course MM is a better fighter, but it wouldn't mean shit. Being a huge, powerhouse monster of a man is why Brock was and could still be very successful at heavyweight.

TS' was saying he doesn't get why people are calling it fake. I mean yeah, we know why they're doing it but we're calling it fake because it is. I hate the WWE shit myself. I quit watching that stuff when i was a teenager. One reason I hate it now is I don't feel it does the sport any good to be associated with that. Certainly it does the UFC pocketbook good and that's all they really care about but I wonder how many people will start thinking the UFC fights are just as fake and staged as wrestling.

If the animosity is real, then it can add an interesting boost to a fight, but if it is manufactured then it is retarded. MMA was great for years without this type of manufactured bullshit, and there were fewer morons at the bar watching these fights saying dumb things and slowing down the service.
