I can't believe I have class on MLK day

My school had today off. Unfortunately, the schedule I have set up already gives me every Monday and Friday off. Those are the days I work at my internship. So everyone chilled out of class and I went to work.

On a side note, one of the other interns I work with, Shanta (pronounced Santa, and my boss thus gave her the nickname Santa Clause), almost didn't show up for work today since classes were cancelled for today. She was then informed, that during tax season, our tax office doesn't take any holidays off.

my Father used to always say (in reference to MLK as a holiday) -it takes a hell of a racist to not want to take a day off of work.
