My jogging club is kind of a rugby offshoot and we do shoey's regularly. Most regularly as punishment for wearing shoes to jog in that look too new. But other stuff too. (And most of us are over 40)

Yeah mate. Born and raised in South Auckland. Been living in the States for a long time now though. Fifteen years or so. Long fucking time. Miss the ocean, but the amount of public land where I live is astonishing. Love to get out there as much as I can. Not sure if the ol Kea is still endangered anymore. Cats take down a few babys I'm sure, but most of the Keas were killed by the farmers back when there was bounty on their head! Keas kill sheep, especially lambs, so the farmers used to kill them on sight. Almost wiped them out. These days the Keas will just do a number on your vehicle, rip off your side mirrors and the rubber trim, shit like that, if you leave your car parked up for too long where there's a bunch of them. Cheeky wee buggers!

He's ranked 11th now.. if he keeps stringing together Knockouts.. the UFC will give him a title fight real fast.. especially to inject new blood into the division. If they have him fight Rozenstruik, I bet bam Bam knocks him out and gets into the top 5.. but I will agree that a technical fighter will beat him... he has Caveman Power.. not the most skilled set of fighting.. but it's power in raw form.
 
I am Australian and have never seen anyone do a shoey in real life in my entire life. The only people I am aware of who do it are Daniel Riccardo in F1 and Tai Tuivasa. It seems like one of those 'Australian traditions' that is pushed especially hard on the internet, and not a real Australian tradition.

Are mullets still a thing in Australia? I know 80s are coming back (including f. stupid mullets probably).
But have they ever gone out of style at the end of the world?

Yeah there's definitely no shortage of mullets in this country, especially the further north you go.

Mullets never died in Australia, but something happened last year and the numbers have ballooned. I think there were a few football players and it set the trend again. I have 2 nephews (8 and 11) who have long mullets. It's funny af to see again.
