I believe Amazon likes to retain a loophole whereby the streaming service technically doesn't own anything. You own the movie but Amazon considers itself a service. Historically, this has been a problem if Amazon loses streaming rights to a title thus must pull it from their service altogether. Yes, you still technically own it but Amazon can no longer be the one to stream it for you. It's not a frequent issue but

Good show. Buying DRM'd streaming garbage is a bad deal though. The best thing for you to do would be to record all episodes on VHS tapes.
