I believe Tate is a "Jack of all trades master of none" when it comes to MMA

Do you agree with this? She's has average to above average striking. She has average to above average grappling/bjj. But it has given her success as to how well rounded she is. She is definitely the most well rounded in WMMA.

Where as Holly is extremely good at striking but lacks in the grappling department. And Ronda is good at grappling/Judo but lacks in the striking department.

I can see Tate beating Ronda in the striking department and having enough grappling experience to avoid sticky situations with Ronda and ultimately win a close decision. But that's how I see it playing out. I don't see Tate ever knocking out or submitting Ronda.

She's like Forrest Griffin. Good at everything, great at nothing and scrappy as hell. And it led them both to a title that no one thought they'd get

Her striking is definitely not good enough to do to Ronda what Holly did.

People thinking she now has "the blueprint" and is a "different fighter now" are beyond delusional.

Ronda is putting Tate's third arm on her mantle. Lol

Miesha has a great gas tank, heart, and the will to win. Sometimes thats all it takes. Meisha submits Ronda with a rear naked to counter the judo throw ala Liz Carmouche.

Tate is master of not quitting. She is the master of fighting till the very last second of last round. She is the master of "It ain't over till it's over".

Not sure I agree with the last sentence, but it seems like a fair assessment. And in that division, against any one person. Being an expert at one thing can be enough. Just as Miesha being a Jack can be good enough against alot of fighters in that division. As evidenced in her record in the UFC. Whereas in the male divisions above FW. Being a one trick pony will only get you so far. You need to be well rounded. And Miesha is imo, probably the most rounded BW.

Fair comparison but like Forrest, I don't think she will defend the title even once.

Then again, everyone should feel that way, but they are in denial about the notion of Ronda regaining gold.

She is well rounded but...

She has above average striking but not as good as Holm or Nunes, probably not as good as some others like Kaufman either.

She certainly DOES NOT merely have 'average or above grappling' as she has the best MMA wrestling in the division and arguably the second best ground game. How is subbing Coenen, outgrappling an Olympic wresting medalist, and doing what Ronda couldn't to Holm 'average or (implied barely) above average'? Then no one has even 'good' grappling except Ronda.

That's a fairly accurate assessment TS.

Miesha is quite well-rounded but not spectacular in any one area.

She's tough as shit.

I do think that much like Holly had Rondas number, Ronda has Mieshas though.

Her Jiu Jitsu is above average. Definitely higher than "Jack-of-all-trades" level.

Tate is a "Jack of all trades master of none"

I like that, I like that a lot.

she has a much better chance against ronda this time

before ronda would have been super confident and never doubted herself

that wont be the case in the third fight

especially since if ronda loses to tate she may as well retire

Master of not giving up.

I honestly thought she would never hold the belt.

She has pretty below average striking, but her top game is some of the best at the weightclass.. So I guess no.

well-roundedness is not a bad thing in mma, although she should work more on her striking, at least defensivily

Apparently she's a brown belt.
I don't see it, but someone gave her that rank.
