Conor has never pulled out of a fight, so I believe him. Had he ever pulled out before due to injury I would say that's BS why not pull out.
"Conor has no heart" yet he fights killers injured lmao
Conor Poirier 4 will sell 4 mill ppvs and you will all tune in
I agree.
I will go further and state that this was the best Conor performance (to me).
I have traditionally despised Conor, because of what he did to my boy (Jose Aldo).
I was salivating in the lead up to his fight with Khabib, because I anticipated his destruction.
Indeed, I was delighted when Poirier starched him.
That said, this trilogy fight turned me into a Conor fan.
In spite of his low quality antics, including his interviews and the pre-fight conference, he did bring a huge amount of energy and intrigue to the event. I wanted to tune in.
When I did tune in, I saw some fucking gangster shit.
He lost, but he lost like a fucking dog! Conor McTap did not tap to strikes under a broken shin! That was tough. That he had the presence of mind to protest the stoppage and complain that it should have been a doctor's stoppage is ridiculous. Lastly, the fact that he was able to give an interview, and come at it with such aggression to boot, was amazing! Yeah, the trash talk was meh, classless, and delusional (Poirier could have literally walked over and just stomped him out), but what fucking nuts!
That shit was dope as fuck. We've seen enough leg breaks in the UFC to know that Conor's reaction was an outlier, and bloody impressive. It showed crazy fighting spirit.
Do I think he has a chance in hell of beating any top level competition at that weight? No, but this was definitely the most Conor's best performance (to me).
