Maybe 15 years ago but these cons are filled with gorgeous people now. To the point that disgruntled "real nerds" have voiced disapproval that attractive people have taken over their dork hobby.

Just look at any gallery of fans at these things. They're exponentially more attractive than the neckbeards at an MMA event.
