I am an ex-Scientologist. (LONG read)

i just find it hilarious people follow a guy like hubbard who was a science fiction writer. He made shit up for a living. With multiple accounts of him telling people he wanted to start a religion for money, it amazes me how people follow this shit, when it seems like that is exactly what they are after. If there is a place that exists after you die, i wonder if he is looking down at all the people who follow his religion and laughing his tits off because he made it up. i

i did watch a documentary on tv with a young woman who was blacklisted and can no longer see her family.. so i can understand how hard it is to get out. i wish i could find it because it also had some c level actor who was a former scientologist say a way that they keep you in is that they get you to admit stuff in those therapy sessions.

Yeah, it's called a "sec-check" or "security check". Every day for 6 months, along with hard labor all day and night with no pay. That's what I had to do to leave.

his own son called him out on his bullshit

Yeah, all you need to know about the man L Ron Hubbard, you can see in his kids.

One of them actually killed themselves. He was gay and his dad thought it could be "fixed" with scientology. Or so I'm told.

lets say if your family wasn't in it

can you just get up and leave? and say well if you try to hold me here against my will i will call the police.

i heard that shit about xenu, rofl. his sons did say that he was a drug user, yet they talk about ritalin and other drugs how terrible they are.

and his wifes have claimed he was abusive as well

For sure you could escape if you play it safe. I escaped (a story I will save for the book). But it was mission impossible, staring the opposite of Tom Cruise.

The Delphi school is a brainwashing institution. And if you think that even 10% of those kids are WOGs or "Worthy Oriental Gentleman" (sci term for all non-scientologist people of the world), I don't know what to say except...

BULLSHIT!

Well its been a long time since I went there but at the time there were very few kids who considered themselves Scientologists. I have no idea what the percentages are now.

I sure would like to hear you explanation of how its a brainwashing institution? Reading, writing and arithmetic along with history, sciences and the usual fare is taught in most schools that I'm aware of. Might as well say that all schools are brainwashing institutions.

My question is for rnaviaux, does it upset you that the TS is a former member that is now sharing "priveledged" information with the masses? Also, if TS was a higher ranking member before his abandonment of your church, does that feel like a slap in the face, when you have been so devout, yet unrewarded?

Who or what is a TS?

Not really. It's simply not worth getting upset about. I'm far more concerned about the economy and environmental issues currently. Things like being able to feed my kids takes first priority.

Although I have been "devout" I certainly don't feel "unrewarded." I wonder what gave you the impression that I was unrewarded.

You guys need to take it easy on rnaviaux. Trust ME when I tell you that he lives in a prison of thought. And while everyone should totally have the right to believe WHATEVER they want to believe... He does not yet understand that the organization he supports and loves, is guilty of many, many daily atrocities.

He believes he still owns the respect of the Sea Organization after leaving. And straight from the horses mouth (Hubbard), he has no such thing. They just want his free money and support.

And the reason I'm calling all his "no-answer answers" (something they train you to do in scientology), is because they only make scientologists one way... Just like rnaviaux.

I know his answers because I WAS him. Even years after I left, I found myself defending the Co$ the EXACT SAME WAY as he is defending it now. It's not till you take the plunge and find out the truth, that you can free yourself from this prison.

lol @ taking it easy on me.

I like the "living in a prison of thought" comparison though. Can't disagree with that as who doesn't live in a "prison" of thought.

Will you get a stat if I click the link? Lol Tom Cruiseology. You fucks deserve all the ridicule humanly possible. You'll wise up and blow one day.

Eloquent. You make that up all on your own?

All schools do not teach kids to idolize a scam-artist. That's brainwashing, case and point.

And many of those Delphi kids fall behind, simply because they are being groomed for something else. It's a cesspool of church recruiters, many of whom I've known by name.

They are NOT taught to think for themselves. Rather, they are told that the L Ron Hubbard brand of "study tech" is the only way to learn anything. Most of which is common sense anyway. Look up words in the dictionary. Don't skip steps when learning something. Look at pictures of things you have never seen before to get an idea of what it is. How original.

His own son later admitted he basically lied about what he said about his father as well.

yeah he got paid to shut up, to pay for his medical bills, he died from diabetes at the relatively young age of 57.

His other son killed himself

his ex wives told of how abusive he was.

He was a failure as a father and husband, hilarious that you follow him.

Why are all these people stepping out against scientology? i dont hear other religions complaining of this shit. yeah the catholics molested children. But i don't hear people always saying that the church or mosque holds them against their will.

multiple sources have stated hubbard wanted to make money, his sons said that, his wives said that.

do you really believe the xenu crap?

TS means "Topic Starter" or "Thread Starter". OP means "Original Poster". In this case, it's me. Anyway...

If you go back into the Sea Org, you will never have to worry about money or being able to take care of your kids. That will be "handled" for you.

Or, I have a better idea. You could just send your kids to the Cadet Org! Then you and your wife don't have to worry about them anymore! They're in good hands, right? In the hands of the scientology elite!!! I'm sure they wont turn out as dumb as rocks like the VAST majority of Cadets. And even if they do, I'm sure they'll still lead happy lives after graduating to the SO. Slave labor is so much fun, right?

I understand that you don't like sarcasm. And it might make you think that I am "1.1 on the tone scale". But just follow me for a second here.

(note: For the non-sci readers, 1.1 is an emotional/social status known to scientologists as "covert hostility".)

Now if you have any grasp on reality at all...

#1. You would never want anything close to that life for your kids.

#2 You might be able to make the connection between giving the church your money, and the survival of an institution that destroys families in this very way.

If you could just make this simple connection. AND I KNOW YOU CAN. You would start to see things for what they are.

You want more stories? There was this gal, about 30 years old. Divorced with a boy about 4 or so. Dad wasn't around I guess. But she was HEAVILY recruited to join the Sea Org. She joined but the kid was having a rough time not being able see his mom except for two hours on Sunday morning during "CSP" or "Clean Ship Project". Which is the assigned time for Sea Org members to clean their room.

So one day, soon after she joined, this cute little kid comes bursting into the office where her mom was kept to work all day and night designing junk mail for the church. The boy is totally freaked out and crying hysterically for her mom to take him home. And all I can hear around me are personal insults to the boy. "What a little Snot-nosed brat!" "This is fucking Dev-T!", someone yells to the mother. Dev-T stands for "developed traffic". Which is a Co$ way of saying to the mom "your personal life is slowing down production". I seriously wanted to puke.

So she leaves the Sea Org on "good terms" ONLY because she wants to take care of her child. And what does anyone have to say about it? "What a degraded being! So out-ethics!" And I'm talking about execs here, not grunts.

That is one story about a girl that got out EASY. And there are countless others, such as my own, that go untold to members. "Black-PR" (bad public relations), is simply an issue of containment to them. Legal documents are their bread and butter. If she told that story in front of a church to members as they entered the building, she would be blacklisted and sued for breaking confidentiality agreements, such as I'm doing now.

They do not give a damn about you or your kids. You are just a stat to them. Money and labor. Nothing more.

You don't buy that? The next time you're being sold something from a Reg ("Registrar" or Co$ salesman), tell them that you only have that amount to your name and that if you don't keep it, you might lose your house. And that you'll have nowhere to go. And you might not be able to feed your kids. And pay for school. And pay for braces for little Timmeh. And keep your business running. And any other sob story you can think of. And then ask them what they think you should do. They'll tell you to "outflow" (spend the money) and that you'll "make it go right!" to pay your bills anyway.

See if they give a fuck.

No chance. None. Just like a collection agent.

In short, they will take your money and not think twice about it. And in their mind, they think they're actually helping you. They will be commended by their superiors for "getting you through the D.E.I. scale" ("Decision. Enforcement. Inhibit." It's a sales method of L Ron Hubbard's design). It means that the longer and harder they push you, and the more irritated you get from being pushed, the closer they are to getting the sale. They also know that if they fail, they could get in trouble, depending on whether or not they have sold enough that week. And THAT is a prison of thought.

If any of you want to see a panic-induced, shit-storm...

Go into any Co$ on a Thursday, just before 2pm. That is when their week ends. Just flash a little cash around. And if the quotas aren't met, you will see just how depraved they are to get it from you.

Scientology works all right. Works like a fucking charm.

It's mostly fiction to him. Just not the right part.

I am glad he admits to caring more about his family than the church. Which I believe because it seems like the only sincere thing he's said here. But anything could be possible.

Good read, thanks for this. You did the right thing...Stay on the path you are on now.

Right as it may be, the path I'm on sucks. She's gone (non-sci related). And I don't know if she's coming back. :icon_sad:

But the less you have to lose in life...

Right?

Just one day at a time.

Thanks for the support, sir.
