I am an ex-Scientologist. (LONG read)

Being Australian, the first chance I get I'm voting for
Xenophon.
 
The Senate has rejected an inquiry into the cult of $cientology for a second time.

However, this may not actually be such a bad thing because what is really needed
is for victims of $cientology to contact the police so that criminal charges can be
put forward against the cult.

Forget a senate inquiry.
What is needed is for the head-honcho's to be put on trial in a court of law.

The victory here is in the massive exposure. And that there have been a number of Aussie ex's that have come forward to tell their story.

And it's only just the beginning. Many more will come forward after seeing others do the same.
 
Only had time to watch/listen to that first video (what's the back story there?). The propaganda piece "Can we be Friends?" is so pompous and over-the-top. Those in charge really seem to lack any self-awareness of how asinine and mean-spirited they often come across as.
 
Another has come forward. This time, a woman who used to work for RTC (Religious Technology Center) at the Int Base in Hemet California. And though she still believes in L Ron, she has plenty to say about what she witnessed and personally experienced. Abuses at the hands of David Miscavige (the head of RTC).

It's really sickening.

The fact that the organization allows for no criticism, internal or otherwise.

You can be a muslim and say that suicide bombing is wrong and still be a muslim.

You can be a Catholic and say :eek::eek::eek::eek:philia is wrong, without getting excommunicated.

You can be a Baptist and say that X televangelist is a fraud and still be a baptist.

Question any facet of Scientology life and they will destroy you completely, or at least do their damndest to make your life a living hell.
 
Scientology is not important in the grand scheme of things. I really don't understand the fuss. People should care more about the threat to Europe from Islam and the threat to world peace from Zionists.

How are we ever going to deal with a fucked nation like North Korea? We think it's awesome when we send slick Willy to rescue a couple of cutie-pie journalists from their grasps, but leave an oppressed nation behind at the whim and behest of Kim Jong Il.
