I'm honestly quite sick of making Conor posts, but the guy is clearly succeeding in his "Floyd Mayweather" model of selling fights. He's so obnoxious and annoying that if you do hate the guy, you just tune in to pray that he loses.
This thread is around his hypocrisy. Now he's not quite Dana White levels of hypocrite, but him referring to people as "taking the easy way out" or being "cowards" is becoming stupid. He also made a comment in the presser that Nate is a "bully" - what a damn hypocrite!
I was pissed at RDA when he pulled, but the man has a broken foot, that's reality, we need to get over ourselves here. Also, ask yourself this - if you had an exam and if you passed that exam you'd make over a million dollars. Then you're told if you pull out, you'll probably get to do the exam again later on. Let's say you now fall ill or you stayed up all night and were exhausted, would you still take the exam out of decency? No, you wouldn't, you'd delay it, like anyone in their right mind. RDA delayed it because why risk your career, your income and your legacy against a solid opponent whilst you have a broken foot.
Let's be frank Conor is racist, and if he isn't he most definitely made many racist remarks. What he said to Siver, Aldo and dos Anjos was racist - the cholo thing was borderline.
You cannot be calling someone a "Nazi" when they are actually Russian. It's an ignorant and racist remark, calling him a fascist just because of his parents heritage.
You cannot be referring to someone as "a Brazilian bitch" or claiming you'd "ride through his Favela and would kill anyone who is not fit to work. But this is a different time" - essentially he's referring to slavery and talking down to Jose Aldo as if he's a lesser human-being just because he's a Brazilian. Chop it how you want, that is racist.
He then also grills RDA for naming his children English names, like he's a traitor. Can you imagine the outcry if Jake Shields came out and said to Urijah Hall, "Urijah, how dare you call you're children Bob and Jane, you should call them D'Brickashaw or LeShawn" - he would immediately be called racist and the black community would tear him apart.
Floyd is right in what he says. He himself made borderline racist comments at Manny and Oscar, difference is he doesn't get a pass like Conor does. If Conor was to be racist towards a black person I think the dynamic would shift, the media would cover it a whole lot more. He's picking on Germans and Brazilians because they are "free-game" in America.
Conor is an amazing character and fighter - but he doesn't have a hint of humility and that's a dangerous game. He has the type of fans which are onboard because of the sweeping hype, the fans will not be loyal when he loses. Perhaps if he gets choked out, they'll stay, but what about if he gets KO'd dead? The bandwagoners are the same people that would change their account names and make KO memes of Conor.
The UFC are a weak organisation that is bending over backwards for one man. Pathetic.
