I think Jones will fight Almeida if somehow he were to beat Tom.

Jones has better wrestling and sub defense and of course much better striking.

Almeida is also not that tall. He's a very easy match for Jones so Jones would fight him in a heat beat

Almedia would absolutely be the largest submission threat Jones has face in his career

That does make sense but I can't get behind Game getting another title shot especially with him arguably losing to Volkov.

What makes it worse is that it's HW so there is some chance Tom gets flash TKOd and no one wants to see Gane v Jones again

Arguable lost, yes. But he did win and hasn't lost since Jones. He's on a 2 fight win streak. Alemeida also has 2 wins in a row since he got TKO'd. I don't think you can really favor one over the other.

he fought spivak, He fought volkov again, that's 2. every one who should have had their chance had it. Sergei and blaydes, they lost and that's that. Almedia has a recent loss to blaydes.

If it goes to the ground yes but Jones spends months developing an opponent specific strategy. And It's not rocket science to see he'd use an Usman v Maia approach.

I Respectfully disagree
Jones is a much better wrestler and grappler than Blaydes.

Jailton is a blown up LHW. Slightly better grappling than glover and worse striking

Anyone with 2 braincells to rub together can see that Jon will not fight Tom. With that in mind these are the HW matchups UFC should make.

Volkov v Spivac
Pavlovich v Tyabura

These are all fresh matchups that could shake up the rankings a bit or re-assert contenders.

Gane and Jailton are the only guys on the whole list that Tom hasn't already finished. Too bad it is so shallow. Alex might end up being the only real option for a big fight.
