So I just heard about Hunts new six fight deal with the UFC and was pretty impressed that it will be a 7 figure deal which will set him up for life, I'm happy for the Hunto he truly deserves it, always get the bang for your buck when ever you tune in to watch Hunt, you won't see many other fighters with close to a .500 record getting this type of deal, being must watch TV obviously does something good for your negotiations.

Thoughts?

if its $1,000,000 that is not set for life. subtract taxes and thats about $70k a year for 10 years. set for life?

thats how the UFC sells shit, 6 figure contract at TUF was always for the minimum to meet 6 figures, 100k so I bet this is $1 million but I could be wrong.

Hunt's UFC run has been one of the best surprises in MMA. They wanted to buy him out of his UFC contract. He refused and when he debuted, lost against Sean McCorckle. So many doubted him. I'm glad he's doing well.

Hunt comments in the article and seems happy with it, it's the articles words not mine. I just posted it here.

1.000.000 : 6 = 166.666 per fight. Minus taxes 100.000 Hunt fights twice a year = 200.000 that's fine.

Hunt is mistaken unless that is high 7's but with UFC it has always been the minimum to meet the "figures"

good payday sure, but he is not set for life

He's a legend and he deserved a good deal.

$1 million isn't life.

Just an average household will be making and spending several millions of dollars per every 5-10 years

It's basically just average income pay

lulz at sherdoggers thinking a million bucks in your 40s after a long and brutal career = set for life

Read the article, Hunt seems happy with it and where has it been confirmed that it is $1million, you're just assuming it's the lowest 7 figure deal possible, it's the article that says set for life I just re-posted it. It's definitely damn good for a 41 year old fighter with close to a .500 record, people like you just love to complain.

my wife and I made $1 million over the last 12 years. We spent every penny of it raising a family. We have no savings. Paycheck to paycheck.

Awesome, he deserves it. what a great fighter and so many more exciting fights for him in UFC. and sure Hunt is set for life.. thats just his fight purse, there is hundreds of endorsements and sponsors he gets too, he makes more than enough. War Hunt!!!!!

You are really off on your numbers. Lets take the high end of your statement - 10 years. Several million is 3 Million. The average household is nowhere near to spending 300K per year.

Yeh man one of the most likeable fighters out there and consistent just goes about his business

You guys must live in expensive countries. 1M would easily pay for a nice life for me for 40 years.
