Hunt is so deceptive with his pace

Hunt is really something else. He won't ever win the title, but I'll be damned if his fights aren't some of the most fun to observe.

On a separate note, thinking about this fight and then thinking about the fact that JDS ate some of his really heavy shots - holy shit does JDS have a chin... I mean, to his detriment - you're probably better off passing out after one hard shot than taking 20-30 over the course of a fight but still...

Well, if down the road JDS has brain issues traced back to fighting, it's not going to be Hunt that anybody associates with it. I think the last 40 whatever minutes he spent with Cain probably took 5 years off the end of his life...

If he was 10 years younger and started MMA earlier, then he'd probably be champ right now.

Samoan genetics FTW. They are born BIG with Elephant Bones... It's their gift and Hunt really capitalized on it.

Actually I was thinking the same thing about Roy and if Hunto game planned I imagine he watched the shit out that JDS fight. Junior's uppercuts (and Werdum's now that I think about it) were smashing Roy but the fucker just wouldn't go down. Too tough for his own good. When I saw Hunt picking up on the uppercut opening I knew that he was going to land it eventually and we'd see if he hits harder than JDS.

Hard to tell with time and more headshots to Roy's noggin, but it would appear that he does.

Fixed. He absorbed something like almost 600 total strikes *landed* from Cain in two fights. Even boxers don't get hit that much in losses.

There are some fights I have zero desire to ever see again and those two are near the top of the list. I'm a huge Cain fan, but Junior is too good of a man to stomach that kind of savagery.

Amen, he is just such a genuinely nice guy among a wide spectrum of fighter personalities, no trash talk, nothing but respect for him. Him and Shogun, and I'd like for Shogun to retire (ideally with a win, but definitely after the Manuwa fight). Unless I see something really, really special from JDS v Miocic, which would make me think he can beat Cain if they met again, I'd also say he should retire - he's always going to be top of the HW but if there's no hope for the title, why take damage with no glory on the horizon. To get paid? He can do better...

I was once on the train in Sydney when about 5/7 islander construction workers sat a couple seats away from me. Never had my lean 180 pounds at 5'10 felt so small. They seemed like a nice bunch of guys but 7 hunts is just extremely intimidating.

simply because he is a good HW counter puncher who know how to slow down the rythm of fight.
they use to trick their opponent like that.

He seems slow the way he walks around an tired almost but really hes pret fast and can go 5rds goin to war ? So yeah hes def deceptive w the pace an the way he fights

yeah, look at his K1 fights, he would lumber around like a typical fat dude then bam, land a kick on you.
