Hunt is capable of taking out anybody but Mir in 2016 is about as easy as it gets.

Not to take anything away from Frank but Hunt does well vs big, slow fighters. Mir is pretty slow lately.

I see Mir trying to throw combos with knees up the middle but Hunt surviving and landing a few counters.

The real factor will be when Mir gasses (even if Hunt gasses too), and Mark finishes Frank with the big one.

I remember ppl saying that when Mir fought Bigfoot. You underestimate Mir

Anything can happen when 2 big dudes are throwing punches in a cage. If the fight stays standing I don't see Mir winning but if it hits the ground and Frank gets a hold of something it's over. Not can be over but over.

Leaning toward Hunto via KO, but there is always the chance that Mir trips him up and subs him, or catches him with some huge counter-shot.

Hunto said that he is ready to die, against Mir...that was a Badass comment.

I remember Hunt being a massive lock against Gegard Mousasi

Dad bod Mir seems to have heavied his hands. Doubt we get a slug fest, but Frank does like the opossum game if he's not sleeping.

A typical Mark Hunt walk away KO would be nice, but never count out Frank Mir

For Mir, it's as simple as getting the fight to the ground. If he does, he'll win. If he doesn't he'll probably get KO'd. But the fact that he has such a clear path to victory means a Hunt win is far from a lock.

maybe you should mortgage the house and drop some money on it

Hunt by KO is the safer bet but Mir could definitely submit him

Hunt by KO, yes. Mir needs to take the fight to the ground to win the fight and I don't see it happening. Someone posted a gif of Mousasi taking Hunt down probably not realizing that it's old, otherwise it's just a stupid thing to post as it bears no relevance. Hunt has pretty good TDD defense nowadays and he's like a bouncy ball, when he's taken down he bounces right up. Mir hits hard and he's got great JJ but if these two fight 100 times, I think Hunt takes it 95/100. However, one always needs to consider if Hunt will have to cut weight or not, if he's been morbidly obese during his training camp I would probably say it's 50/50.

Don't forget: despite his massive MMA experience (28 fights), Frank Mir is 5 years younger than Hunt. Hunt has a long kickboxing career but is 11-10 in MMA.

I say Frank has the advantage but he can't get cocky and try to stand with Mark. He must take him down, where all probabilities point to a fast submission.
