Human-animal hybrids

Ya know this is why the world got flooded in the first place.

Cloning & hybridization ain't exactly new.

I did some research on cloning and DNA manipulation and came across this article.

https://www.nationalgeographic.co.uk/science-and-technology/human-pig-hybrid-created-lab

Accordingly, the Chinese already successful created an human-pig embryo by using steam cells. I'm not an expert on that matter and don't have a clue if it is even a possibility that those creatures could survive in the near future, but I feel disgusted by the thought. And I mean, utterly disgusted. A human-pig hybrid, wtf!!!!!!!

I know that there is always an ongoing argument about DNA manipulation and similar stuff, but this takes it to a whole new level.

It also doesn't make sense to me that they actually spend money for this shit. Why? What's the ceiling? Creating super-humans? Creating the perfect workhorses? What's the plan? Simply disgusting.
You're a day late and dollar short, that podcast was ages ago

i don't like him as most influential mma person, but i recognize his right to exist

The dude who said Obama is going to enslave the USA? Not the most reliable source for anything I guess, but it's nice to see that even someone like him seems to have some moral values
You know he was referring to "debters prison"? Obama did try to reinstate that, and that is actual slavery.

Came acroos this googling

"If two Chinese scientists are to be believed, China nearly made the first hybrid decades earlier. In 1967, they came close to creating a human-chimpanzee hybrid—and if the experiment hadn’t been shut down early, they would have succeeded.

Two scientists from Shenyang have claimed that they participated in an experiment in which they successfully impregnated a female chimpanzee with human sperm. Their goal was to create a new, more highly evolved chimpanzee with a larger brain and a wider mouth. Ultimately, they hoped that their new creature would be able to speak.

The humanzee wasn’t exactly going to be treated well. Their plan was to use it as a slave by making it drive carts and herd sheep. They also wanted to send it off on experiments in space.[2]

The project fell apart because of the Cultural Revolution. Zealous revolutionaries smashed their lab and destroyed their work, and the chimpanzee died before she could come to term. The researchers claim that she was already three months pregnant.

In 1981, the scientists said that they planned to try again. Nothing ever came of it, though, likely because of the growing concern about human ethics."

Wonder if they gave chimp the D or used articifial methods

I'm a little confused. Isn't it normal that you go to prison at some point if you can't pay your debts? If not, what happens?

No, that's slavery. We did away with that nonsense over a century ago.

Then your shit gets taken away. Where do you live that debtors prison is still a thing? Were you thrown in the toll booth in 1600's England?

Your shit gets takes away, ok. What happens if there is no shit left to take away?

According to sherdog I live in a communist muslim country haha (slavery also now).

old news.

You may have seen it in a textbook or on TV: a mouse with a human ear on its back. You might have thought that the mouse was genetically engineered, or deformed, or the result of mad scientists “playing God.” Twenty years ago, Harvard surgeons Joseph and his brother Charles Vacanti, along with MIT engineer Bob Langer, experimented with techniques to create human body parts in the lab. They implanted the shape of a human ear in the back of a mouse as part of research to better understand how they could help grow body parts for humans. They published their results in 1997. After BBC aired a documentary on tissue engineering, the world saw the bizarre animal: The Vacanti Mouse.

we've been experimenting with these techniques for a while now. It's human rules of ethics that hold us back.

No Island of Dr. Moraeu references yet?
Disappoint
