i guess in time we will find out why they were terminated from one of them, so we can stop speculating

Zuffa only gave them gigs to stop them going off to Bellator or whoever and taking their star power with them. Now that their stars have faded, Dana doesn't need to worry about the impact of them both fighting elsewhere, so can eject them without concern.
