How do you see this fight playing out? Not a lot of talk for two of the most skilled mixed martial artists in the game going head to head Thursday.

Honestly, I've been thinking RDA goes through Eddie like a buzz saw. He's been looking way too sharp and vicious and if he hits a takedown on Eddie I don't think he wants any part of RDA's top game.

But.....Eddie can't be counted out. If he gets in there and outboxes him he's got a shot.

Thoughts? I'm thinking RDA 50-45 or 49-46.

RDA by destruction.

RDA by decision. But it wont be easy

Dos Anjos by finish, I'm kind of surprised that everybody thinks this will go all five rounds. I think RDA will finish by early blitz (a la RDA-Cerrone 2) or by late RNC (a la Chandler-Alvarez 1).

as long as eddie doesn't get caught early i think he can make it competitive, but i still think rda wins

i think rda is overrated and ive never seen alvarez fight so idk

RDA by frankenstein beast attack early rd 2

I think Alaverz will tko RDA with straight right as RDA trying to kick Alvarez..

Similar to RDA-Pettis, except Eddie dives for a few more desperation takedowns. I don't think Eddie will respond well to RDA's pressure. I have a hard time envisioning how Eddie wins this, outside of the puncher's chance.

I haven't been blown away or even mildly impressed about any of Eddie's fights since coming to the UFC his sub par decisions winz have allowed him to fight for the belt. I think RDA has no problem ripping up Alvarez and sending him back in the pack.

I got RDA, on this fight. He's solid and i don't see him losing.

Eddie's chin strap annoys me.

RDA TKO 1

Fight fans in 2016, ladies and gentleman.

I think Eddie may pull off the upset. If Bellator Eddie shows up with some fucking fire in him it should at least be competitive.

I'm going Eddie. I'm not that confident but I'd say im leaning 55/45 for Eddie. Think he slightly out-strikes him and the TD game winds up about even.

I think Alvarez is one of his toughest tests TBH. The fighters he's faced recently have had major holes in their games aside from Benson. Clearly Pettis does horrible against pressure (credit for him exposing this), Cerrone's chin being fragile is nothing new, Diaz's takedown defese, or lack there of is obvious. Alvarez is a solid wrestler, boxer, and strategist. I think the main thing is Alvarez doesn't care if he gets boos he will do what he has to to win. Either way I don't see how Khabib or Ferguson don't become the champ when their time comes.

Agree with a lot of this. Thing is, being a solid wrestler and boxer just doesn't strike me as being enough against RDA. His muay thai is nasty and it doesn't look like he's got a shot that can't hurt people. And the guy's grappling is otherworldly too, he's finally added the wrestling to his made-for-MMA excellent positional bjj.

care to elaborate?
RDA has been ripping through LW since his loss to Khabib, he may be one of the best LW champs we've seen. Alvarez is (more was, his UFC fights have lacked some luster) a sensational talent and was in a few FOTY contenders in Bellator and is about to fight for a title, and you've never seen ONE of his fights?
