How would you structure weight classes?

Fighters typically cut anywhere from 5-10% of their body weight, with outliers cutting less than 5% or more than 10%; if someone cut 10% body weight to get down to 155 lbs then that would mean their actual weight is 172.2 lbs.
I'm just saying 175 just not seem like a lw IMO, when i think of lw a guy who is 175 does not come to mind.

I'm pleased to see many Sherdoggers lean toward fewer weight classes. I don't ever want to see any more (aside from SHW). Ideally, there'd be fewer, but I can handle it the way it is.

I just wish they would do ranges instead of exact weights.

Something like:

HW: 215-Unlimited
LHW: 200-214
MW: 185-199
WW: 170-184
LW: 155-169
FW: 145-154
BW: 135-144
FLW: 125-134

Just ban weight cutting.. its a stupid practice..if the only reason your hoping your going to win the fight is because you rehydrated 20lbs heavier then your opponent then you suck as a martial artist..just have divisons begin in 0's and end in 9's except heavyweight & open weight and no weight cutting allowed..all fights must have a hydration level of 98% or above come weigh ins.

130 -139 flw
140- 149 bw
150 -159 fw
160 - 169lw
170 -179 ww
180 -189 mm
190 to 199 lhw
200 - 220 hw
220 & up

Or a variation of this..

-normal weighins day before, with a weigh in on day of fight where fighter must be within 10lbs of contracted fight weight if both fighters make weight on day before fight. If weight is over 10lbs on day of fight, then overweight fighter forfeits 20% of purse if fight is cancelled and 40% if fight still takes place, and no win bonus or performance bonus, if overweight fighter wins the fight.
