How would you rate these 2 diff Fairtex bag gloves?

I am looking for gloves to train muy thai practice for hitting pads,etc. On the fairtex link there are 2 different bag glove styles to choose from. These ones http://www.fairtexgear.com/html_documents/gear/gear_item.asp?p_id=49
which do not have a enclosed thumb, and from the picture look a little less padded?

then these gloves

Which do have the thumb and look to me more durable?

i have the ones w/out the thumb and they are great.

Also, there really is no difference in padding between the two.
