How would some fights be different if they had no rounds or. Name them.

I don't agree with the idea, but a more recent example is Oleynik vs Black Beast. Really think that Kimura at the end of the first would have finished.

No... rounds are needed. But i do feel judges score cards should be known after each round. So fighters losing can go all out and take more risks.

Nog would have lost to Mirko, and probably would have lost the third Herring fight as well.

The opposite is actually a more likely scenario.
Fighters who are up 2-0 will evade for 5 mins to secure the W.
Not knowing forces both fighters to engage if there's uncertainty of the score.

Also, to TS question...

GSP would probably have finished all his W's.

Came here to say this. Lewis would have gotten subbed eventually because he couldn't just get up. Instead he gets a TKO at the start of the next round

I’m for anything closer to simulating a real fight. I would love to see a promotion open up with one 15 minute round, knees to grounded opponents allowed, and no fence grabbing rule. Set that up with the old Bellator tournament format and I think you have a fun promotion.
It might be LESS like a real fight than you imagine. People are coming into this thing with how to gameplan a fight that has no breaks, and this means more stalling because the risks are greater if you are taken down...the risks are greater if you are a striker, and this guy is much better and/or faster than you. So its never really like a real fight in that sense, there are rules, and they will always try to take advantage of these rules. Sakuraba vs Royce was no time limit. Those guys fought like they had all the time in the world because they did! in real life no one would fight like that. Also people will always grab the fence no matter how much you tell them not to. You cant really help it.If you wanted it to be more real, youd let ppl grab it.

I think a lot of fights would be very different.

Those 10min first rounds in Pride had alot of one guy looking great and by the end domination the other way.

By no fence grabbing rule I actually meant get rid of the rule that you can’t grab the fence for the exact reason you explained. Bad explaining on my part. I always thought it was a stupid rule.
