How would Rockhold vs Strickland have gone?

Honestly I'm thinking Rockhold might have took it.

Sean has fantastic striking defense in regards to defending his head but his body and leg seem open. Jack actually found some good body kicks against him. Luke's kicks are fucking brutal, and this is a southpaw vs orthodox matchup with that right body kick wide open for Rockhold. Luke can also manage the distance well cause he's got a great teep kick as well. And Sean also took a bunch of inside leg kicks tonight too. It's fine to take those against Jack but you really don't wanna eat too many of those against Luke. Luke's chin is obv weak, but does Sean really have the power to crack it?

I don’t think Strickland is feather fisted at all. You can see it’s visibly hurting everyone. And there’s nothing worse than consistent accurate jabs bouncing off your nose and face. You can see he’s breaking guys confidence. Even with a jab.

if he had no power people would be forcing brawls as he has no power to respect. And he’s not trying to take you down either.

i would be excited for the fight. I’d favor Strickland. As luke has been off for awhile and has a bad back. And is getting any younger

Prime Rockhold was a really good fighter and probably wins. His boxing was never very good but when he was younger he used his height/reach, footwork and kicks to compensate. As he got older those things diminished. He was still susceptible to a 1-punch KO or head kick (as TRT Vitor showed), but Strickland has never shown that kind of power. That said, Strickland is tough, disciplined and good, so it could come down to a close decision.

Bottom line, Luke doesn't have the best offensive wrestling and Sean has good defensive wrestling. Luke has atrocious striking defense and Sean has good striking offense. Luke probably doesn't get him down and sean batters him to a tko
