How would Robbie Lawler do against Khabib?

Khabib is a biiiig LW who struggles to cut... about Robbies size.

Not to mention he wrestles with Cormier and Cain as his main training partners.

Do you think Kebeb can ragdoll Lawler?
 
Lawler sprawls and brawls while breaking Kahbib's spirit as well as his face.
 
Ummm... Lawler by vicious unnecessary and almost mma ban worthy KO?
 
lawler spawls and brawls for the first two rounds to high success. khabib struggles with the take downs and expends a lot of energy, though he is perhaps successful two or three take downs, which to his dismay leads to little damage on the ground nor long term control.

khabib is fatigued in the 3rd. lawlers cardio is there. his heart never fades. he pours on the attack. khabib continuously shoots desparation doubles to no avail. he eventually flops on his back out of exhaustion. lawler pours on an onslaught of viscious gnp, causing khabib to turtle and cover his head, taking a cornucopia powerful, partially blocked shots.

ref steps in to save him. khabib turns face up in defeat, panting for breath as the train wreck that just ran through him is finally over.
 
Khabib is most definitely much much smaller than Lawler. Height might be close but Khabib struggles to make 155 because he is/was not disciplined enough in his diet.

Lawler on the other hand is not the tallest Welterweight around but his chest and arms are thicker than most Welterweights and cuts a solid chunk to make 170.
 
Khabib could def win. Lawler ha a great sprawl but Khabib's wrestling is on another level; the best we have ever seen in MMA. He's got rides, trips, throws, singles, doubles and strings stuff together like no one else we have ever seen. Not only is he HIGH level wrestler but he has got that Judo and Sambo and strings em together EFFORTLESSLY. Khabib would send Robbie for a few rides.

khabib is an amazing wrestler but robbie sprawl power/size will be to much. robbie used to fighting giant grapplers like jacare, johny hendricks and tim kennedy.

Maybe he would/will if he can STAY HEALTHY. Most dominant 155er we have ever seen but cant stay healthy. If he can stay healthy he can def be a two weight champ and all the guys that train w/ him testify to this.

We are in a new age in MMA too where guys that got by on brute strength before are losing that edge, possibly owing to drug testing policies. We are in the age of technique reining supreme, just look at most of the champs and up and comers; HH, JJ, MM, Cruz, CM, Wonderboy, JBJ, Cormier etc

Completely different grappling. Hendricks is straight freestyle. Khabib has got Judo, folk style, Sambo and knows how to put it all together. Rumor has it he even throws massive Rockhold around. Cormier said he has the best MMA grappling he has ever seen and the dude knows. So sure, Hendrick is great at playing checkers single but Khabib is Bobby Fischer.

Also, Jacare and Kennedy put a pretty good beatdown on Lawler if I remember correctly. Not saying Khabib would win but he would def have some success and I'd bet money he could score a few TDD's if he got to the clinch.

yes they did but robbie has evolved and learned alot from fighting those giant grapplers therefore he developed one of the best sprawls in mma. he would pick khabib apart this coming from a khabib fan hint the av.
 
why is this thread here? Khabib is coming back after a long time out n LW, lets see how he looks, let him get a win and stay healthy for 2 fights in a row, before you have him coming to WW to beat lawler. maybe its just me, but this kind of ridiculous speculation is not entertaining or interesting at all.
