Doesn't seem like we'll be getting any closer to seeing highlight-worthy moments from MVP like we were promised as he gets older. If he had arrived five years earlier, closer to his prime, how would he have performed in the WW and MW landscapes of that 2018-2020 era?

Crazy to win a fight while landing < 10 significant strikes. Got 2 knockdowns to win the first two rounds though.

Exactly same.

They are giving him cherry picked opponents. If they want, they can do this all the way to the top then and now.

If not, he may or may not have a winning record. Same with Paddy or O'Malley. Tbh kind sickening how they do this tbh. Like Amosov is unsigned, Amosov would literally wipe the floor with MVP.

Would've had to get custom made matchups like Robbie Lawler/Till/Wonderboy, would not have a fun time with Usmans and Colbys of the world.

With the right booking, MVP is absolutely thrilling.

Against top 5 opponents? His lack of wrestling and grappling would show up.

Ian Garry is a completely mid grappler and he had no problem out wrestling MVP to a decision loss, despite Venom beating his ass in the standing exchanges.

Have to look at WW division of 2020:

Champion: KAMARU USMAN
1. Tyron Woodley
2. Colby Covington
3. Jorge Masvidal
4. Leon Edwards
5. Rafael dos Anjos
6. Demian Maia
7. Stephen Thompson
8. Nate Diaz
9. Robbie Lawler +1
10. Geoff Neal +1
11. Anthony Pettis -2
12. Gilbert Burns +1
13. Vicente Luque -1
14. Conor McGregor *NR
15. Neal Magny -1
