He would be like 15-11 right now while getting soccer kicked kod in almost every of his fight
How would he beat SAKU GOAT since he was only aimin´ higher, @ LHWs...?I think he beats prime Saku and Pride Anderson but loses to 2005 GP Shogun.
Nuthin 2 do with MMA evolution, Im afraid...MMA has completely evolved skill wise since the days of Pride and although I absolutely loved that era, the fighters of today have way better camps, are way more well rounded training wise and considering he's usually the guy holding opponents down and controlling them I don't see how soccer kicks would be an issue.
Are you agreeing or disagreeing, Khabib is probably the best grappler we've ever had in MMA therefore he should do amazing in Pride be your logic. And there's been tonnes of evolution since pride, back then you'd have shit tonnes of guys who specialised in one area, you can actually train MMA as a sport now globally without having to train all the different disciplines and piece them together, christ when I first tried MMA back in 2007 there was one MMA gym around, now there's dozens to choose from.Nuthin 2 do with MMA evolution, Im afraid...
Paulo Filho had a dominant run in Pride, as a dominant grappler.
There´s been evolution and regression too, technically, especially in the grappling field, mainly due to the UFC rules and fight configuration. Are you agreeing or disagreeing, Khabib is probably the best grappler we've ever had in MMA therefore he should do amazing in Pride be your logic. Saku would get ragdolled he was a modern WW with mediocre skills who fought at a time when the talent level was low. He never dealt with a grappler like Khabib who win rounds against Rockhold in practice. How would he beat SAKU GOAT since he was only aimin´ higher, @ LHWs...?
SAKU GOAT would have been bored, had he been forced to fight a smaller dude like Khabib...
Jus´check his body language in the Royler, Arsene fights.
Saku loses to Aoki, Khabib ragdolls Aoki. It’s not even close watch BJJ Scout Khabib breakdown he has GSPs GNP and Askrens wrist control and rides Sakuraba doesn’t stand a chance.

I see...Saku loses to Aoki, Khabib ragdolls Aoki. It’s not even close watch BJJ Scout Khabib breakdown he has GSPs GNP and Askrens wrist control and rides Sakuraba doesn’t stand a chance.
You don't seem to understand evolution, are you saying MMA looks the same today as it did 20 years ago.Lol no. There are more well rounded fighters but the game hasn't evolved.
We can agree to disagree, but I believe the evolution outweighs that, so where one area may have slipped fighters are more well rounded now and trained in various disciplines. There´s been evolution and regression too, technically, especially in the grappling field, mainly due to the UFC rules and fight configuration.
There´s no "best grappler ever in MMA", many dudes were talented back in the days too.
If I quoted Filho´s dominance @ WW, u had your answer.
Of course, he wouldnt have followed SAKU GOAT´s footsteps (who started his career @ FW, and who historically fought btw 178 & 184 lbs). Tbh, that was a crazy, ballsy, suicidal career.
I would say u know very little about grapplers from end of the 1990s/early 2000s.You don't seem to understand evolution, are you saying MMA looks the same today as it did 20 years ago.
You are completely missing the point, yes the grappler of that era match up to the grappler of today, MMA isn't a grappling match buddy, its a combination of many martial arts. The grappler of that era were just that grapplers, and a lot of time they came up against just strikers and looked phenomenal, then look what happened when Royce fought Hughes, that was a show of evolution in the sport. Now look at chuck liddell fighting just a few years ago and look at the movement of modern day champs, the sport is constantly being influenced by different martial arts, at one time muay Thai was seen at the best form of striking for mma, now we have guys that move like Wonderboy, Till, and even Conor who are light on their feet sniper types, to say things haven't changed is outright ignorant, but crack on.I would say u know very little about grapplers from end of the 1990s/early 2000s.
The thing u´re saying about MMA evolution is a lazy cliché.
