How would Jon Jones have done in the Pride OW GP 2006?

I think Jones is one of the best there ever was. But how would he hold up against Prime Cro Cop, Monster Wand, Josh Barnett and Big Nog?

I believe in the ring his reach wouldn't give a very big advantage. Also with the Pride rules, he can't use is effective elbows against the ropes or on the ground which are a big part of his game.

If he fought either of them in the semi's, what would you think the GP would have looked like?

well he is extremely talented, so it depends on this hypothetical situation, in reality he was 16 years old then, but if we say hes like 29 years old in 2006 and has 20 fights all wins, he would probably do good, not sure how he would handle the heavies.... If we say in 2006 jon jones has 39 years old, he would get rekt... Its really a dumb question overall...

Beaten up and choked out. One of the reasons Bones is so great is because of how much MMA has evolved. At that time he would not have been able to capitalize on his strengths like in the present.

Maybe a dumb question but I think this are some fun hypothetical matchups. Jones would be as heavy as wand and cro cop and with all the HW talks it is interesting to think about.

Def., Idk why people stress the loss of elbows with the Pride ruleset. Grounded knees served wrestlers and grapplers with good TDs very well and Jones hardly shoots.
