GSP would get KTFO. There is a reason he never went up in weight, he can only win by lay n praying for 5 rounds.
Franklin was huge. There is not a chance for GSP to win that fight.

Rick Franklin was the #2 UFC MW Champion at the time. Are you saying Forest was the #2 LHW champion? Insert Dave Menne and the answer to your question is yes. Mayhem Miller and Jake Shields were MWs comparable to James Irvin and Stephan Bonnar.
Rich was basically walking around looking like a bodybuilder, so I would guess the random testings would not be good for him. I think that Version of Franklin (untested) would cause huge problems for the current (tested) top MWs. For a Ww... even GSP.. he would just be too big And powerful. No accusations, and I like Rich, but weren't those pre-USADA days dandy?
Many GSP fans claim that GSP would have done what Anderson did (destroy his opponents) if GSP would have moved up one weight division and fought a former champ during his prime.
Thoughts?
http://forums.sherdog.com/threads/w...ht-3x-in-his-prime-like-anderson-did.3573279/Stopped reading right there. I have never ever seen anybody say this and have been following this sport for decades.
Forrest is certainly bigger, but GSP's wrestling is MUCH better...at the very least it washes out. Rashad and other LHWs said GSP could take them down.
Considering GSP never moved up to MW, let alone LHW, to prove this, I'm going to have to take anything Rashad or anybody else said about it with a huge grain of salt. GSP's wrestling was very dependent on him being able to overpower his opponent. I think his hesitancy to ever take a fight at MW was a pretty clear indicator that he didn't believe he could overpower someone substantially larger than he was.

Read this thread and then get back at me.
You are totally missing the point. Of course Forrest is bigger than GSP, but GSP's wrestling is SO MUCH better than Forrest'sDo you realize the huge weight difference you are talking about here? Forrest fought at 205, and GSP was at 170. You would assume a larger fighter would be able to cut more weight as well, but regardless, that's at least 35 pounds. Comparing their wrestling is ridiculous.
Then STFU and don't post anything. No thanks. I don't need to read another one of your shitty bait threads.

As we all know, Anderson destroyed a former LHW champ, who was one fight removed from being champ (Forrest Griffin), in less than 5 minutes.
The equivalent of this was for GSP to move up to MW and face a former MW champ like Rich Franklin.
Who would have won between GSP and Rich Franklin? Would GSP have destroyed and embarrassed Franklin in the 1st round similar to what Anderson did to Forrest?
Franklin would have stiffened GSP if they were to fight and GSP knew it. That's why GSP never moved up in weight for some "showcase" fights during his prime like Anderson did.
