Nope.Hater.
IMO it's hard for strikers to gas out Conor unless they are very durable like Max or Nate. Wrestlers have a higher chance of implementing that gameplan. Conor is too precise and powerful for fighters who don't fight in that durable/wrestler category to play the cardio card.
idt Dustin has the durability to survive Conor's 2 round onslaught, maybe if he mixes it up he stands a chance. It's not impossible for a fighter of his caliber
Yup agreed, I should have elaborated that you need to put a pace on him. You can't just survive 2 rounds fighting at his pace and expect him to tire out.Max didnt exhaust Conor though.
You cant let McGregor dictate the pace. He has a comfortable pace he can do all day... forcing the fight ala Diaz is how you make him wither...
Trying to play pattycake with him to stall for time will allow Conor to make a show of each round and you know any close rounds are going to conor.
Everyone who has beaten Conor was NOT playing it safe.
I agree with you that you need to be a durable wrestler to have the best chance. I dont think Poirier fits that mold.
That said, i have a weird gut feeling conor gets caught cold and TKOd
