How would Charles do if he rematches his losses?

Are you asking about if they rematched today?? Half those guys are washed or in a smaller weight class. Olivieira woulf humiliate Cowboy right now or are we talking hypothetical, like the current Do Bronx vs the Cerrone that beat him years ago for example.

Many of those losses you can see him visibly quit from damage. I want to see that tested again before he fights for a title.
I think he's earned a title shot, but I totally agree that the one thing he hasn't really proven is that he has increased resolve and composure in the face of adversity. On one hand it's because none of his opponents have been able to deliver that adversity since he's improved so much, but on the other hand most of the guys in his run aren't exactly the best equipped to do it outside of Tony, who never got a chance to get going.

Maybe he just hulks everyone to the ground like he did Tony, but I'd love to see what happens if he has to stay on the feet with a Gaethje or Poirier and they just refuse to go away. Maybe he handles them all, maybe he crumbles like he has in the past in that scenario.

People really underrate how good of a grappler Lamas was. Seriously, has anyone outgrappled Lamas ever? Also, Lamas weighed 145lbs in that fight and Do bronx came in at 155lbs, so you can't use the "it would be different at 155lbs" excuse in that one. I think Do bronx would be the better striker now a days, though. I'm just not convinced Lamas couldn't make him wilt on the mat after a few rounds like he did in the first fight. That would be a close fight.

Lamas is a better grappler than Tony and Lee, too.

He beat Miller already in the rematch, the rest would be interesting.

He beats all of them. He's evolved as a fighter and most of the guys who beat him have since declined.

At what weight? If Charles kills himself going to 145 I can see it. If Max moved up to 55 again, I think he probably gets bullied by the current Do Bronx.
Max isnt known for TDD. So Oliveira could finish him on the ground.

I actually think at 155, he tools Max. Hes just too big and we seen Max at lw and he aint that special.

At LW?? Beats all of them the same night. Back to back. His ridiculous improvement over the past few years is some Brujeria shit. Never seen anything like it.
No way he beats Macks Hall away imo.

Felder - 35 gets grappled
Lamas 38 now
Edgar 39 now
Cub 37 now
Cowboy 37 now
Miller — 37 now
Pettis, lost 5 times since then, a few major injuries, 2 TKOs
Holloway, weight disadvantage at 155

In most cases those guys were closer to their prime back then and Oliveira not yet in his prime.

Honestly, I think he might lose most of those again. Definitely against Cowboy, taking him down would be a horrible idea. Frankie, Lamas and Miller would probably be wins this time. Cub would be tough. Pettis could go either way. He isn't beating Max. And I still have his Felder loss vivid in my memory, so I can't not pick Felder. He absolutely son'd Oliveira.

Max is two years younger with half a dozen less fights and 3 less losses.

Given a lot of people thought he beat Volk in their second fight, he should be the reigning champ again. No one else at FW is a threat to him other than maybe Ortega.

That's coming out of prime?

Age is irrelevant, primes happen at different times for different people. What a lot of people think is also irrelevant
Max hasn't been the same since that second Dustin fight, he lost something there and it has shown.

No way he beats Macks Hall away imo.

Max has kinda stayed the same these past few years and didn't look good at LW at all. Aloe Vera's striking has improved a lot. He sets up his shots much better now. I think he easily outgrapples Max.

Max looks bad having 3 losses in his last few fights, but he was fighting 155 poirier, who just fought for the belt. He arguably lost to Volk, who currently holds the belt. Max is only 29 years old and still has plenty of prime left, I think he also has something to prove now. Go back to his fight with Poirier, if that fight keeps going past 5 rounds, Max wins. If you haven’t seen improvement from Max I don’t know what you’re watching. He may not be the best at his weight anymore, but he’s not far behind. I think he tools Aloevera on the feet and holds his own on the ground.
