I mean "the goat" basically did get submitted. Vitor had it, there's a point where jones elbow hyperextended and vitor tbought it was broken and let up alittle. That combines with him spiking vitor on his head led to him escaping. Btw not just saying this. Multiple people have talked about this including rogan who is the biggest jones apologist out there.

Lol the only reason he escaped is cause vitor eased up. Also if you really want to get technical, there's a rule of verbal submission where if a fighter gives any verbal indication of pain like yelling or grunting, the ref is supposed to stop the fight to avoid further injury. Jones did that but fight wasn't stopped.

That was TRT fucken Vitor, he probably would’ve defended until Jones earned his way back. Vitor might of been complete by the time the rematch took place, as he was close to being in his final form when he sent Henderson to the moon. Also the rematch wouldn’t be on short notice.

So in short, Vitor would of most likely ruled the division until TRT got banned.
