How will Prime Gomi vs Conor would play out?

Gomi would literally kill McGregor. It'd end like Gomi vs Ishida with Gomi dropping bombs on a limp Conor.

Didn't someone make this exact thread yesterday?

Gomi from 04-05 would KO Conor

the sport has evolved Conor would beat prime gomi... honestly surprised how many people think gomi would win ^^^

Gomi, Next question plz!

Thing is Gomi was more well rounded. He preferred to KO guys but he had a solid wrestling background. I can't see Conor KOing Gomi he had a granite chin. But we have seen Conor get hurt by Nate's punches. Gomi hits harder.

Conor on his back looking up at the lights. Prime Gomi starched more fools than a Chinese laundry mat.

Conor, if his chin holds up he would eventually wreck Gomi.

Conor starches him early. Gomi is too wild. Conor is too accurate not to tag him

Flame away, but Gomi is wildly overrated from a skills standpoint. He's not overrated as far as entertainment value goes, but he's overrated when it comes to skill. He was still in his prime when he came to the UFC and got mopped up. There's a reason for that.

Prime Gomi would get embarrassed by Conor. And you can check my post history. I'm not a Conor hugger. I'm just saying what it is. Gomi would swing wild hooks with absolutely zero game plan. Conor would counter punch hims with straight lefts until one of them put him away. Gomi is a sucker for straight punches. Watch how Kenflo mopped him with ease.

getting hurt by nate isnt something to be ashamed of... Gomi is 5 inches shorter then nate and doesn't have the same reach, while I agree Gomi was well rounded for his time and no doubt had an awesome chin, I still think Conors volume would put Gomi down for a tko fairly easily. that is in no way putting Gomi down as a fighter either

No he wasn't. He lost to Golyaev and Kitaoka before coming to the UFC.

He also almost finished the better and bigger Diaz brother in their fight. Gomi would have likely beat Conor.

(Before Conor vs Nate I actaully said that the fight would be like Gomi vs Nick Diaz again except that Conor wouldn't drop Nate like Gomi dropped Nick)

Yes Gomi also fought Nate and got beat easier than he did against Nick....because he was no longer in his prime.

Debatable. I say he was still in his prime. People just figured him out because he was overrated. And saying he almost beat Nick is like saying Conor almost beat Nate. He may have landed some good shots, but the fight ended how it ended for a reason.

Overrated.
