How will Pride Wanderlei v Rumble Johnson would play out?

depends anorexic version of rumble wanderlei may have had a chance, current version of rumble? no version of wanderlei would have survived the fight

Wand bang with heavy hitters like crop cop, hunt, and rampage. I think he could hang if not ko Anthony.

PRIDE Wanderlei vs. Rumble in PRIDE? I'd give it to Wanderlei. He had a strong chin up until 2006 and he was a straight up murderer, not to mention the allowance of soccer kicks and stomps being more beneficial to him than perhaps any other fighter.
 
Rumble fighting Wand with the Pride rules he would be just as dangerous as Wand. I'd take Rumble.
 
Wandy was a physco mad man killer in Pride, I think his stare alone would beat Rumble. On a Side Note I Wonder how a 2005 shogun would do against Rumble...both would be great fights
 
I really wonder if Wanderlei would work some kind of take down strategy. I know Wandy was a killer himself but I just can't help but think even in the clinch Rumble could catch him with one. Though Wandy did surive an entire Hunt fight maybe we're underestimating Wandy.
 
Wanderlei would chew him up standing and then stomp his head through the mat
 
This is a joke, wand was exciting as fuck but his technique was far too wild especially in pride, his style wouldn't do well with a heavy hitter like rumble.
I would take rumble over any brawler type of a fighter like wand.

Has Rumble ever showed much in the clinch? I could see him taking Wanderlei down but offence wise I think Silva would clearly have the edge there.

I think newer fans tend to buy into the idea that Pride Wanderlei fought like he did vs Stann in the opening round when really if you watch much of his Pride run he's considerably more tactical/technical only going into "kill crazy" mode to finish a hurt opponent or when put in a very bad position.

A big issue as well could as well be cardio, Silva's was excellent before his nose was ruined and in a 5 rounder especially I think that would be a test for Rumble if he doesn't get an early finish.

Good point. A lot of people have trouble with fighters like Wandy, Anderson, and Shogun who have really good MT clinches. Plus the cardio thing is a legit concern for Rumble. If anything Rumble might try to take down Wandy. Rumble did that to Vitor, Hardy, Manuwa as well.
 
It would look like Wand vs Vitor. Wand is a HOFer, but he got rocked in almost every fight. Don't see a way he beats rumble.
 
I think wand could have done it. He KO'd rampage twice back then,the same rampage that beat chuck.
