How well does Conor do against top ten lightweights?

He's game for any of them. He can stop any of them.

The problem with Conor is an earlier stoppage is his only realistic option. He's not dominating anyone in grappling in the top 10. I can't see him winning a decision with his striking.

All the southpaws tear his leg up or submit him: Dustin, Dariush, RDA, Islam. That's half the top ten right there. Oliveira would be an interesting fight, but I'd favor oliveira eventually grabbing his neck. Conor's best chances would be against Chandler, Ferguson, and Hooker.
 
I can't wait for Unfinished to say he wins them all with candor.

Idk if Dan Hooker is a clear victory… that to me looks a lot like Diaz 2, with Conor not being able to finish after dominating early… difference is Dan has stopping power to finish Conor late in the fight… i’d still probably favor Conor slightly, but it’s definitely not clear to me
 
still a few guys he could beat IMO, but htat leg injury has me really bearish on Conor coming back successfully. I would have him favored over some of the top ten if he hadn't wrecked his leg, but now I think he has to be a dog against any top ten guy that isn't in the 8-10 ranking range, and even there he's basically even money.

just looking through the various rankings, I can only really feel that I can give him 50-50 odds (or better) against Hooker, Gillespie, and Ferguson and even there I'm not super confident in him against any of them other than maybe shot to shit Ferguson.
 
Before he broke his leg he would've lost to them all. Titanium leg Conor is a different beast
