image.jpeg I have always wondered to what extent any fighter in the UFC could protect themselves outside of the cage, let's take Nate Diaz for example. He is a pretty big dude, but not huge, he doesn't dwarf everybody.

Say Nate got into a fight with a dude about his size or slightly bigger at a bar or a mall or something to that extent. I have no doubt in my mind that Nate would kick his ass, I wouldn't even doubt it with two guys, maybe even 3.

To wrap up my argument I would say Nate could protect himself rather easily, as he is a big guy with great boxing, a granite chin, cardio, and he's got that long reach. This is my personal opinion.

Let me know what you guys think about this topic in general whether it's in Nate's case or any other fighters!

Who was the guy on TUF who had won over 300 street fights? he is probably the baddest man on the planet. I think they kicked him off of TUF because secretly they knew he was too much of a badass and would wreck anyone in any weight class eventually

Which season exactly? I don't recall this guy. o_O

I can't remember, it was quite a while back. Maybe when Jens and BJ were coaches? Or one of the seasons around that time. It was actually pretty funny. The guy talked shit the entire time, lost his fight and then got kicked off the show for getting into a fight at the house. :D

Marlon Sims & Noah Thomas were the two who fought in the house when BJ was coaching season 5, not sure which of the two though. That was a long time ago.

wow, nice call (if no googling involved :D). Pretty sure it was Marlon

Nate Diaz is not a big man. He is an average-sized man, at best(by U.S. standards). That said, it'd probably take 4 or so average bar rats to take him in a fight.

I guess it'd be hot and cold. I'm sure most would win easily but Edwin Dewees just recently got beat up by some redneck and a while back Maiquel Falco got seriously fucked up at a gas station in Brazil.

So to sum it up, you think professional fighters know how to fight.

Ehh, I guess you're right 6ft and around 170 isn't to big.
I can get behind that answer, until Nick comes and saves the day.

How is that a summary of what I said exactly?
I wanted people's opinion on HOW WELL they could protect themselves, not if they are able to.
