How weird must Chael Sonnen and Rory MacDonald feel now.

They both wanted to become UFC Champion more than anything, they both got the chance against "The Man" who held the title at a certain time, and they both lost.
And Sonnen beat Bisping. And MacDonald pretty "easily" beat Woodley. And then they both watch Bisping and Woodley becoming UFC Champion by beating "The Man" at a different time.

Struve is thinking the same thing, crazy how times change.

If anything, it should light a fire under their ass. If the guy they beat could be champ, then theyve still got a chance as well.

Yeah I imagine these guys feel motivated after watching people they know they can beat win gold

Chael got a gift against Bisping, while he was at his juiciest..... under USADA testing Bisping would wreck him

Chael was on a decline fighting Bisping.

Pre Dolce Chael would make quick work out of him.

TLDR: Dolce ruined everything.

Blows it wide open again. I don't mind it so much with WW because GSP had it for so long.

Makes things interesting for Rory unless Wonderboy takes the belt

Sonnen didn't beat Bisping. That was a pick em fight at best, I think Bisping won. Chael was not that great. His claim to fame is that he matched up very well with Anderson and gave him a tough time when he was very dominant.

Marquardt must be feeling pretty good/bad right now

MMA math just doesn't work but it might be maddening to fighters if they put any stock into it. Chael is past the point where he could beat the top MWs and Rory still might be headed to Bellator.
