Prime vs prime I could see Woodley being a huge problem with strength advantage, and punching power advantage. He would take his camp seriously as he ever had and would show up as the best Woodley qe would have ever seen. It's a close fight but I wouldnt be shocked to see Twood come over top a jab and land a bomb to shut out the lights. Or Gsp 49-46 wouldn't surprise me either

Jones resume is very overrated . He fought mostly fighters out of their prime and middleweights .
His resume is filled with fighters who were more "celebrities" than elite fighters.

He was very good and always adhered for the most part to a good game plan. He said it after his last fight. He was faking, and drawing attention with his right hand. And then he clobbered Bisping with a left that led to the win. And he showed the wherewithal to abandon the striking, and grab Bisping’s back, and neck instead.

How many times have you seen a fighter lose a fight because they couldn’t or didn’t adapt their gameplan? Or completely went in the wrong direction at the worst time?

The most recent example I think was Kelvin. When you got a guy hurt like that don’t abandon what’s working and go for the TD.

I don't have a problem applying my same logic to GSP. His only truly impressive wins to me are Hughes, Condit, Shields, Fitch, Koscheck, Hendricks, Bisping. Are those wins greater than beating Gus 2x and Cormier 2x? To me yes.

GSP came from striking background and became world class MMA wrestler

Jones came from wrestling background and became world class MMA striker.

Its much easier to become an "elite striker" in MMA, cuz the striking/boxing level is still shit.

But its much harder to become an elite MMA wrestler, cuz grappling wise ... its good.

Being the best striker in MMA is like being the best US soccer player.

Jones is a known cheater . GSP is one of the biggest and first advocates for strick drug testing in MMA and has a strong stance against PEDs.
