Planning on watching UFC 200 on my Fire TV. I'm wondering if UFC gives better quality than Youtube when it comes to ppv.

So with this update to ufc tv and fight pass id be cautious. With updates come bugs. Bugs show up when many users use at the same time. Ufc 200 would be a scary card to test this on.

I have always had flawless HD streams from ufc.tv before this update.

Pic quality was shitty over Sony live network. Xbox ufc app is good. Fios is in true 1080i

I may do sd just to save money and be a cheapskate lol. Do you think using an sd stream will give me a better chance for smooth pic though?

I've never had any problem steaming UFC PPV events though the website on my PC. Again, haven't done it since the newest update, but it's never been an issue for me. As far as using apps, I've watched fightpass cards on a phone or tablet and never had a problem.

Regarding SD PPVs, I never buy a PPV in SD through my satellite provider because the image quality is terrible. It looks like VHS quality with letterboxing, so you aren't even getting the full picture. Buying direct from the UFC and streaming it gives you a higher quality widescreen image that looks pretty decent at normal viewing distance on a 40ish inch TV. I can't tell you the exact size of the TV because the streaming events that I watch are all at a friends house, but I hope that helps. SD quality from UFC.tv isn't too far off from the HD quality I get from satellite. The difference is there, but it isn't worth the extra money for the HD stream if you ask me.

About as trustworthy as a Thai hooker with a meth addiction.

On one hand, extreme productivity.
On the other hand, missing days due to meth being illegal.
So, bout 50/50?

As long as you aren't using a peasant ISP you should be fine.

I always buy the SD version through ufc.tv & never had any problem.

It’s not like I'm watching a blockbuster graphic rich movie like star warz or something… but I suppose some people like that pristine quality of HD.
