my hands are pretty small and knuckles arent to big i was wondering if i can some how get my hands bigger and knuckles bigger and stronger.

Unless you are still growing, the bone structure of your hands has also stopped growing.
You can build up some muscle mass in your hands and forearms with grip work, and get the fists used to punching by punching a heavy bag.
Push ups with a clenched fist are also good. If you can work your way up to doing one armed fist push ups on a wooden floor (next step cement), then your knuckles are pretty hard.

get Captain of Crush trainers. Your hand will be able to absorb much more force when hitting the heavy bag or people.

Work on strengthing your hands and lower arms, not hardening your knuckles.
DO's
- levering
- thickbar work
- block weight pinching
- heavy wrist roller work
- "iron cross" or "t-handle" pushups

DON'T's
- punch rocks, trees, wood planks, etc. in an attempt to harden the bone
- strike the heavy bag without proper handwraps and gloves
- do something stupid that will only calcify your joints and cripple your hands with arthritis by the time you reach 35.

You WILL live to regret not following my advice on the don'ts. That's the perks of that breed of stupidity, it doesn't kill you, just makes life fucking miserable and painful.

Don't listen to this retard.

Go outside and get on your knees and punch the cement as hard as possible until your knuckles bleed.

Do you want to be a fucking fighter, or not?

hilarious

Well i train and they have us do massive amounts of grip work and heavy bag work (with wraps) and by grinding our fists into wood. It has helped tremendously as well as pushups on your fists

Bang on. Nice work. I used to punch bricks when I was younger. Hmmm...not smart. Great post.

Well you can build up calcium deposits in your hands which can in theory make them harder, just like when MT fighters rub broom handles on their shins to toughen them.

You can do this by doing pushups on your knuckles...

But i would say your best bet is hand grip strength and just work your speed and technique. I got small hands too, smaller hands need can create more pressure on impacted because less surface area. The problem is you have to be more accurate with each punch, like brock with lunchbox sized hands just needs to aim for the head and the odds of hitting the right spot are better cuase he has a bigger projectile fly

don't listen to this retard. punching cement is for pussies. go outside and punch random people in the face as hard as you can. male, female, kids, old people, police officers, priests just do it; your knuckles will be HUGE.

I believe that hitting concrete and trees are not meant to strengthen the bone. That is what calcium is for. Hitting things helps to kill the nerves in that particular area. Helps you to avoid feeling the pain, which in turn allows you to hit harder because you are not thinking about how bad it's going to hurt.

Most people do not hit nearly as hard bare-fist as they do a glove. Reason being, they are more conscious of how easily they can break their hand.

Yeah desensitizing & building up/toughening the skin over the knuckles or other striking areas is the main reason for hitting tough surfaces. But obviously you do need some caution & common sense...

Despite what some have said, the adaptation from microfactures in your targeted bone(s) (hands, shin, elbows, forehead) that are given ample time to heal/recover will result in stronger, more dense bones. The key is to be sensible and allow ample recovery time - you can't do this sort of training every day:

this is a bit of misinformation. MT fighters rub broom handles, wine bottles, etc on shins to deaden nerves, not build calcium deposits. the object is to desensitize so you dont feel pain. the idea is that your striking power is limited by your pain threshold. remove the pain threshold and you can use the full potential of your muscle.

pain thresholds are there for a reason, so you dont shatter your tibia and fibula.
