How to Eat Raw Eggs Safely

I only eat range free chicken/eggs. over twice the cost but taste way better than caged up animals which are also more gum like or chewy. I do cook my eggs tho. See no reason for raw. Is it supposed to be better somehow?

Best way is bring water to almost boil the turn off stove and let sit for 10 min in hot water. Very tender.

you should try buying In bulk directly from the farm. www.eatwild.com has a directory but it's easy enough to find local farms outside of that as well. I usually get anywhere between 12-15 dozen at a time. Typically It's even cheaper than buying conventional from the supermarket. The eggs at least, pretty sure free range / pastured chicken Is always going to be 2x the cost.

There's certain delicate fats that are heat sensitive. Same Is true for many animal foods, heat denatures the fats. It seems eating them raw maximizes their bio-availability. There's also a certain healthy glow I get from raw sashimi using high quality fish that Isn't there when cooking It. Similar sort of thing I guess.

A few nutrients and minerals can be heat sensitive like Vitamin b6 among others as well.

There's a lot of benefits to cholesterol In terms of hormone production, heat also oxidizes the cholesterol which probably Isn't the most Ideal.

For me personally I think It's probably the raw / bioavailable state of the fats, cholesterol and other nutrients that seem to create a more powerful effect. In my own experience as well, raw eggs seem to be the best source of protein for me. But maybe It's more than just protein contributing to the improved gains. Just my thoughts though.

Nothing wrong with eating them cooked. When I have them, about half the eggs I eat are cooked. It's nice to throw some raw In there too though, esp the yolks.

Japan knows, there's a reason why they're one of the healthiest countries on earth. Even today with the influx of junk food.

Word man. Food is safer here and despite me missing donuts, stuff here is good

I think thats why my grandma told me to cook them way I mentioned. heat water like 180 never boiling then turn off stove and let sit for 10 min. Amazing these old ladies know thier shit way back before all that chemistry you talked about.

I'll check that site out thanks.. shop at Sprouts now. A chicken is $15-18

I crack a raw egg into my protein shake everyday, sometimes even 2.

2 scoops chocolate protein powder
Big couple scoops vanilla ice cream
2 spoons oatmeal
About 50mls egg whites
1 full egg sometimes 2
About 300-350ml whole milk

Been slamming this daily for years, and I usually use regular large eggs. Never had any sickness and can’t taste any raw egg

Sometimes I doubt there’s any major difference with organic free range eggs or regular. I just buy the biggest ones I can find that have the most protein. I’m sure is a difference but not enough for me to care or start spending a bunch of extra money for all “organic” groceries. All Organic shit in my area is way way too expensive to even consider it
If you want a tip, find a local farm that raises their hens pastured or free range. They don't have to be certified organic, so long as they're allowed to roam.

Ideally what you're looking for Is a dark yellow to orange yolk that isn't artificial, hard shell, viscous texture, clean taste.

If you buy them directly from the farm In bulk, they are typically cheaper than buying even conventional eggs from the average supermarket.

If you buy good eggs from whole foods or something though, they're stupidly expensive. Gotta hit up the farms directly and buy them in bulk.

If you buy the eggs in bulk, don’t they have an expiration date that only last 2 or 3 weeks? I would love to buy bulk and that sounds like a very good idea but I’m just worried about the eggs staying fresh for long enough

Smoke a cigarette afterwards. The smoke will kill the toxins

Never had an Issue with anything going bad over like 8+ years.

Typically they'll last 5-7 weeks. Store bought eggs have probably already been on the shelves for a good amount of time so they'll go bad quicker. If you buy directly from a farm, you're getting them very fresh. Many of them deliver If you ask as well.

Never gotten salmonella from the raw eggs in cookie dough

Eat cookie dough for the health benefits of raw eggs

What would teh benefit be to downing them raw?
Soft boiled with soy sauce is delicious.

From TV, Japan handles the eggs in a sanitary way that allows people to feel safe about eating raw eggs.

Been doing it for like 8+ years now on and off

I personally just notice a different sort of glow, energy, clarity that you don't get from cooking them. There aren't many foods that you genuinely notice a certain glow, raw eggs would be one of them. Raw sashimi from good quality fresh fish, grass fed steak tartar and spirulina are a few others. Raw eggs are probably my most noticeably absorbable form of protein. When I'm trying to bulk or just lifting In general, there's nothing that seems to work quite as well for gaining mass and strength.

I'd guess because heat denatures the fat, oxidizes the protein and some vitamins and minerals are heat sensitive. So eating them raw ensures maximum bioavailability.

I believe heat also does something to cholesterol. Cholesterol much bad press as It gets is a building block for hormones.

Been about a year now since I've played, I'm due for another 15 dozen.
Pretty much everything in this post is wrong.

Metabolically it's a detriment. Components of the egg white when raw partially inhibit metabolism of the yolk.

Over easy or any other method with cooked egg white / rare yolk is the most metabolically efficient method of consuming them.

I generally see the raw consumption with gym rats who don't know how to cook.
