how to deal with explosive stronger, bigger guys in BJJ?

Keep your hips moving and don't let them flatten you out. My last instructor always told me that I have to be like a ball underneath bigger guys, keeping everything tight and trying to get hips under them. Rolling with bigger guys is great for positions like butterfly guard or DHG, you really start to see how hips can give you leverage and control.

that. I haven't really learned any fancy sweeps yet

Okay, then technically you're not sweeping them. In a tournament, for example, you wouldn't get any points for it. It's a technicality, but technically a sweep means from your guard or half guard. Just so people don't misinterpret you.

Don't worry ts. With time you'll be able to handle big, strong, and explosive guys with technique even though it may seem impossible now. Don't fixate on people's weight either, it will only hold you back (everyone in my gym outwieghs me too, don't worry abou it). I've noticed with strong explosive types, the more calm and relaxed I am, the easier it is to catch them.

Against bigger guys I play butterfly guard, or half guard principally trying to go for their back, staying active and paying attention to not be flattened on my back. Remember to keep on moving and not let them stabilize on you.

Of course, if they are better or the same level of you, there's not so much you can do against them, but it's like this for everybody.
