Ofcourse carlos newton literally said and I quote "My style is called 'Dragon Ball Jiu-Jitsu' ".Don’t forget the classic Carlos Newton Kamehameha...

I dont mind them. They’ve definitely lost their originality. But I wouldn’t use the word “cringey” to describe them.Am I the only one who think's these edits are kinda cringey?

Pettis, benson, and many other fighters have been open about loving anime too.
@BRASIL WAND Just to add more names that haven't been mentioned yet since you seem so disconnected from the mma community:
Korean zombie is a huge anime nerd as well:
Here he is testing a bunch of techniques from an anime
choi doo ho aka The Korean Super boy, said he started fighting only from inspiration of the same anime in the video above^
Ronda rousy is middle of the pack? she was more famous and more successful in and out of mma than both those guys combined... you're nuts...Oh stop it, you don’t need to lecture me on the history of weebery. I’m aware of the few anomalies in MMA of fighters being anime nerds, but to pretend anime is in integral part of MMA history is not only disingenuous but flat out laughable.
Also you missed Josh Barnett in your tangent.
With the exception of Barnett and Adesanya, everyone of those anime geeks have been middle of the pack fighters at best. The point being that I’m not concerned with what fighters do on their own time, but rather the annoyed by the fanbases they drag to the sport. Anime geeks spamming the sport are no different than the WWE crowd who crossed over. Usually ignorant casuals who don’t know the least remote thing about actual fighting other than kamehamehas and jutsus.
This was actually a pretty good comeback.Oh stop it, you don’t need to lecture me on the history of weebery. I’m aware of the few anomalies in MMA of fighters being anime nerds, but to pretend anime is in integral part of MMA history is not only disingenuous but flat out laughable.

You can't be a complete martial artist if you don't watch animes. It's a spiritual journey.Oh stop it, you don’t need to lecture me on the history of weebery. A rematch would be interesting.
"As of late"? I wanna say where have you been but you're post count seems like a paradox now.
Ever since early Vale tudo era of shitty cameras and bare knuckle fights ended the whole sport has flodded with anime nerds, including both fans and the fighters themselves.
I'm shocked you sound like you never watched a pride event... the promotional visual and audio of it is more ridiculous than a Baki The Grappler episodes...
Nope there are plenty of strange people like yourself that find random things "cringey" that most reasonable people are totally comfortable seeing.Am I the only one who think's these edits are kinda cringey?
Wait. Jokes aside, you really watch only 1 episode of something? Each entire day? How old are you?You can't be a complete martial artist if you don't watch animes. It's a spiritual journey.
Me, my girlfriend and her lover, we watch a least 1 episode a day together and I feel completing Naruto has made me a way more lethal warrior.
I thought it was coolAm I the only one who think's these edits are kinda cringey?
Nah, you're probably just an adult.Am I the only one who think's these edits are kinda cringey?
