Of course depends who gets replaced, either well known fighter (Bisping for Weidman) or less known (OSP for Cormier)

But what with aftermath? How UFC feels about it?

You know someone like OSP can say "look, I saved yo main card, how about you get me more pay or get significant opponent next time".

I am sure UFC have to deal with fighters who been asked to replace someone in main event and then lost in specific way.

Is it worth in general replacing contenders for title shots for the sake of having that championship or big main event fight, or maybe would be better just cancel it and move into FOX.

How you guys see it from UFC perspective?

Shouldn't affect this one too much because Weidman isn't a big draw.

Probably boost this ppv. Bisping is bigger than Weidman but the difference won't be as much as it would because it was short notice and there hasn't been a lot of time to sell this one. When Nate stepped in to fight Conor it sold amazingly well.

Depends on who was replaced and who the replacement is.

This one won't be affected much IMO. Weidman isn't a huge draw and Bisping has been around long and every MMA fans knows who he is anyway.

McGoat fights sells well regardless who is he fighting nowadays, Mayweather or ant.

I honestly think Bisping and Rockhold could possibly sell more, of course, it's debatable.

In my opinion Bisping "sells" the fight more, whilst Weidman may be seen as a bigger challenge to Luke - and therefore may draw more attention/buys that way.

I think people tend to buy the PPV close to the event e.g. 24/48 hours before the event, so the fight and the match-up definitely makes a difference - great example is Jones vs OSP instead of DC.

pretty significant if you turn down the fight and cancel the card (jbj)

The Diaz angle still put that card over the top. They chose Nate for a specific reason and it paid out way more than they could even dream of.

I think Bisping brings in more than Weidman. Rockhold and Weidman can't promote anything, whereas Bisping can apparently sell sand to an arab

Canceling a main event and moving it to FOX is the last option. It's bad PR for people who bought tickets and booked travel to see the main event and you end up losing money from PPV. Jones vs OSP was 1000 times better than canceling the fight from the UFC's perspective.

Apparently they aren't very appreciative. After McGregor took 3 or more last minute replacements that saved at least 2 of the cardz... the UFC tossed him of UFC 200 for missing a press conference!

all about that name value. if bisping had a prior belt it would be even better. and even better if it wasn't a squash rematch
