How reluctant you expect Conor to be in the future?

Will he try to become a gameplan master like GSP and start to win UDs?

Love him or hate him, he goes for it. Anticipate him continuing to do that.

Worst case scenario he'll stick to fuck up guys when giving the chance specially at 145.
The guy will only get better from this, even if he doesn't achieve what he aims for, guy is a great fighter.
And I'm no fan.

very reluctant. look how gun shy he is even before he fought Nate

I absolutely can't stand him, and I think he'll continue his entertaining fight style. I don't see no slowing down from this guy as far as styles go. As far as calling everyone garbage, I think he'll be silent for awhile. Only talking he'll be doing is towards his own division.

No chance. I see him staying down at 145 and knocking heads off

Conor isn't well rounded enough to go the UD route.

Pace himself a little more won't hurt.
But still got a piston of a left hand. Can do very good at 145 or 155. just don't think he will stay champ for a long time at 145 or become champ at 155.
Top 5-10 in both tho.
Thank god the goat talk are over now

'Comes to fight' and all that.

You guys realize he's a one trick pony, right? As another poster mentioned, his 'Irish wrestling' isn't going to be a factor against elite opponents. He still looks like a liability on the ground even if he gets there.

So what else would you like him to do?

No, his bread and butter is causing concussions. He'll stick to it.

Nothing will change. He literally said that post fight. He'll continue to knock fools out in impressive fashion and be a media/PPV star.

He's young...this was his first UFC loss in a fight MANY would not have taken.

I think he will fight off the back foot more against bigger guys and pace himself more. The things he said post fight indicate this.

Well, it seems like he relied on his chin a lot to get in on opponents and do damage. Now that Nate of all people cracked his chin, he might have to redefine his approach.

Maybe he won't become GSP level safe but I'd imagine that he'll become at least a little more cautious.

No chance. Well rounded fighters (jack of all trades, master of none) are the guys racking up decisions. No jab or lead hand to speak of. No wrestling. Decision fighters are only decision fighters because they aren't finishers. Not finishing Nate in 2 rounds is nothing to be ashamed of. One guy withstanding the left hand isn't enough to outweigh all of the others before him that couldn't.

Conor just won't pursue the KO so much when it isn't there. He will get better in his weaker areas and start finishing guys in later rounds. Maybe take advantage of the fact that you fight for 25 minutes when you have the gold around your waist. A patient McG is a dangerous man. He learned a lot against Diaz, but I don't think the lesson was to become a decision fighter. And for that, I'm thankful.
