How old were you when you were having the best times of your life?

Tough to pick. Growing up as a kid care free and playing with buddies all day every day. Or spending the summer as an 18 year old spending every day drinking with buddies and chasing pussy. All were great times.

2007 roughly.

Emo girls were still a thing, play some Paramore or evanisence and get to 2nd base

Anime wasn't completely gay

The NFL wasn't broken

metal was better

Last year Pride fc still existed

Peak Internet culture

Parties didn't involve smartphones

Weed smoking was still edgy, as opposed to just mainstream

Formula 1 and NASCAR was better

Video Games weren't uninspired loot box shit shows

You kinda got the shit end of the stick, except for Internet speeds being better. You really were meant for 97 not 2007.

In 1966 I scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School.
In other words, you peaked in high school? lol, sorry i couldnt resist.

2006-07 was the sweet spot. We had the convenience of internet and cell phones but they didn't run our lives. I had a desktop that I could download Pride fc when you couldn't really watch it anywhere on tv or old wrestling that wasn't readily avaible on YouTube. It was still kind of a pain in the ass though so you appreciated it when you got it.

Same with phones. Texting was annoying so you would just do it occasionally and since your phone only made calls, you didn't really use it a lot either. Both those things were convenient when you used them but it's not something you thought about daily.

Combine all that with being 17/18, first trucks, first girlfriends, excitement of going to college, all family members still alive. It really didn't get any better than that.

I had a great run from age 16-35ish. After that I went to shit. Life is still good but it isn’t the same as being young and hanging with buddies.

I certainly had my "fun" in my late teens and early 20s but I was fucking up my life in the process. I had to spend my mid to late 20 rebuilding my life and finishing college while broke from my shitty decision making.

Things didn't start getting better till my 30s. My 40s have been the best time for me honestly. I actually make and have money now, bought a house finally four years ago, travel whenever I want and am in amazing shape for being 45.

16 was a good year. I moved to a beautiful town in the middle of the mountains in Alberta, fell into the popular girls clique, got along with everybody, made honor roll each semester, wrestling team, hanging out with friends all the time etc. Halloween was especially fantastic that year too.

Then idk, early twenties wasn’t too shabby. Making good money, had all my animals, had my perfect body lmao. Took my third trip across Canada. That was nice. (First one was at 16).

Now we’re in the thirties and I think it’s about to be good too. Taking care of my health, going to therapy and taking my meds, not fussing with men, feeling more confident than ever and have a stable life, drawing boundaries to protect what I have now from those that threaten it.
